Pearl wasn't a weak heroine which helped me continue reading despite so many scenes that made me flinch. After a long time, a book has successfully grabbed my attention. I was losing focus because of too long to read lists. But what captured my initial interest was the blurb of this novel. Especially towards the end, when we were figuring out what Crow and Button meant to each other, alongside themselves, we needed that little extra sexual tension to keep the heat up. Crow, one of the brothers takes her to his home and keeps her there, protects her from his brother and doesn’t use her like the first guy. He comes up with a plan that she can buy her freedom from him using buttons, don’t know why but I guess it is as good as anything.
