This book is not only very child friendly, but great to use in the classroom when learning about the world along with different cultures.This stylistic choice imparts a tangible message and chronicles a sequence of events throughout the narrative separated into short paragraphs in a realistic element. Some students do not have the opportunity to experience different cultures because of various readers. It includes the languages the people speak, the season, meals that are cooked, and an adventure for each country. The book gives plenty of information about each country such as the environment, weather, animals, and even includes some words from the language spoken there.

While many books of this kind can be over crowded with facts, this one wasn't - a definite perk in my opinion.These countries include Costa Rica, India, Morocco, Greece, Canada, Brazil, France, Botswana, China, Philippines, Australia, United States, and Jordan. Within the travels, we learn about each country's language, climate, wildlife, landmarks, and traditional food. This book can also be used in class discussions about diversity and accepting those of different cultures. This is a great book elementary students who have a more advanced reading level as there are many words on the page in different locations.

Each entry discussed the climate, capital city, geography, famous sites, food, and gave you a general idea of how a family might spend their day. Unfortunately, this story doesn't establish any credibility for information and language translations. I was especially captivated by the amount of information that was shared about each place in the world. A Ticket Around the World, like the title suggests, is a gateway story that teaches the reader about 13 different countries around the world. This book is about a little boy that takes an adventure around the world to different countries and you get to learn different facts about cities and the cultural customs in that country.
