About this deal

Sorry that I went a bit too deep into the characters in the story section, but that's just to say how well the author used the story to be woven into the characters so well. good friendship is one of the few things that makes life worth living, but it’s so hard to find people that care about you, right? Well, friendship is a mutual endeavor. It requires mutual effort, mutual care, and mutual compassion. If you want to be friends with someone, the best first step is to initiate that effort on your own and show them that you care. This manga best exemplifies this through Hoshina Subaru’s character. being able to rely on those around you, and the so-very forgotten importance of getting to love yourself as much as you love those who you care about. While they have preconceptions of each other and even themselves at first, the manga would take the time for each and every character to break that wall down.

The only point down is that it's obviously not for everyone along with the simplistic nature of the story. It's a manga that you won't get hooked into immediately, but after reading it through, I truly believe that in all romance or even in general, manga I've read - this one has the most simple yet realistic writing of characters. Rintarou Tsumugi (MC) - Tall scary misunderstood kind hearted dude. I could very well relate to this guy and his problems and you can actually learn throughout his journey real life scenarios in the manga. The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity was nominated for the 2022 Next Manga Awards in the web category and was ranked sixth out of fifty nominees. [15] The series was also nominated for the Tsutaya Comic Awards and ranked second. [16] It ranked seventh in the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2023. [17] The series has been nominated for the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category. [18] Harding, Daryl (February 2, 2023). It all feels so natural since it's not the story that's driving the characters - it's the characters driving the story forwards. There has been plenty of stories doing this, but not often do you see something of this quality.Enter Subaru, Kaoruko’s best friend since childhood and someone who staunchly believes that Chidori and Kikyo should never intermingle, influenced by her fear of boys. Subaru’s introduction presents an obstacle to the development of Rintaro and Kaoruko’s relationship, but it's not an obstacle that Rintaro finds impossible to overcome. Through his actions and sincere attempt to understand Subaru’s worldview, she is moved into eventually accepting that Rintaro is not the image of the awful delinquent kid she had in mind. away before he can approach her. The next day, Rintarou receives an unexpected apology from the girl, Kaoruko Waguri, who assures him that her initial retreat had nothing to do with his looks. In fact, Kaoruko believes that Rintarou possesses a kind-hearted nature. Intrigued by Kaoruko's bright personality, Rintarou eagerly looks forward to cultivating a friendship. However, an obstacle stands in their way: Kaoruko is a student at Kikyo, the rival academy. this is just the beginning and you'll start rooting for our beloved and hardworking Rintaro and our lovely Kaoruko, unlike other dynamics I've seen so far, this is the only work that has caught the essence of true love and dedication. The plot never relies on lewdness, it's just pure feels and pure bliss. The plot is simple: we start of from the perspective of a delinquent guy, our male lead Tsumugi Rintaro from a low-ranked public high school, coincidentally meeting with a petite girl, our female lead Kaoruko Waguri from a prestigious all-girls high school, at a cake shop owned by Rintaro's mom. Both schools are also coincidentally next to In a certain place, there are two high schools next to each other. Chidori High School, a low-level boys' school where idiots gather, and Kikyo Girls' school, a prestigious school for young ladies. Rintaro Tsumugi, who attends there, meets Kaoruko Waguri... A vivid youthful school story woven by two people who are "close yet far"!!

It's not often when I say that every single character written plays a huge role, in one way or another. They all express their doubts, self-worth, mistakes, and so much more without the intent of creating drama for the story. The author treats each character with care, understanding that they are not there to simply serve the plot but to have their own ego. Just by looking at the cover picture, you can tell it is another "Romeo and Juliet", "Delinquent and smart girl" cliche slapped together. However, the mangaka is able to turn these overused tropes into something amazing and wholesome that other mangas with the same plot simply could not accomplish. Instead, what you get is just a simple yet beautiful story. The devil is in the details, and if you've already read a lot of manga, I can tell you that the story here paves its own paths in its own special way. You won't be disappointed if you remember that these characters are still technically kids. If you're an adult and self-insert yourself Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku” is a manga about love, friendship, and crossing boundaries. More importantly to me, it's a manga that encourages its readers to seek out the same. Friendship is a beautiful thing. A

Kaoru Hana has some remarkable close-up shots during emotionally intense or complex moments that I hoped would be more effective within the framework of the story. They can capture subtle details that really capture what the characters are feeling. Sixteen-year-old Rintarou Tsumugi is a student at Chidori whose intimidating face leads people to avoid him. Rintarou pays no mind to this, as he is content with his group of friends. However, there is something he has not told them yet: sometimes, he helps out at his family's cake shop. It further helps to discern the students with the slight changes of faces despite of artstyle, along with height and simple body proportions that aren't overly extreme. Ok, let's jump right into it; this is a series that can best be described as a "palette cleanser". In a world chalk-full of harems, isekais, and high school romances where you literally can't go 3 chapters without either a panty flash, a character turning beet-red and running straight into the sun, and a loud "Baaaaaaaakaaa!!!!" followed by a literal slap from God (usually all of the above) this series is a wonderful breath of fresh air. Let's break it down.

Within the first few chapters, "The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity" manages to captivate readers with its engaging progression. While the general trajectory of the story may be familiar, the mangaka injects unexpected twists, adding depth and keeping the narrative fresh. The pacing is well-executed, allowing for meaningful character development and moments of introspection that resonate with readers. of people I was taught to hate and I'm mean to them but as soon as I get to know them they aren't actually that bad and we can even be friends"Story 10/10. The main reason I came into this was to see a romance blossom with out any harem or 3 way triangle bs and it does just that and more. Now the twist is I stayed because of how real the main characters are. All the characters have their own story This is your typical melodramatic romance manga where nobody seems to act like human beings, but rather like actors in some larger than life play. Something as commonplace as going to the beach with friends is turned into an absurdly cathartic, life-changing event, with hearty and sobbing speeches about friendship and how much life has changed and how much they've been through in just those few chapters. And everyone is constantly on edge about something or other, and then nothing can be solved in a subtle or simple manner, everything should and will be aggrandised for dramatic effect. People are constantly walking on eggshells, blushing, Kodansha's K Manga app launches with 60 English simupubs among 400 titles". Sora News 24. May 10, 2023 . Retrieved May 10, 2023. Theres a good reason why this manga has such a high rating, and, although at a glance it may seem like an average romeo juliet story, similar to "Boarding School Juliet", its much more than that. The Characters, every single character is complex, and has different emotions. After just reading 5 chapters, you can really feel with the characters. Aftter 10 chapters, you can understand and sympathize with characters you may have hated just 5 chapters earlier. Even the characters that aren't very impactful to the story have some

The intrinsic positivity displayed all thorughout the chapters and that always gets poured out in the interactions between the characters make reading this an incredible heart-warming, unique experience. 'Cause we all like our drama, we all are into our really spicy cliché romance stories with toxic traits and annoying characters, but sometimes we forget about how impactful the portrait of happiness can also be. And I think that's exactly what this manga speaks for. Kaoruko Waguri (FMC) - Petite beautiful cutie (my TYPE). On the outside she may even seem perfect but as you dive deeper into the manga you will see that this character is also just trying to find her own way in the world. One day at work, Rintarou sees a customer at a table, but she runs off before he can talk to her. The next day, he receives an apology from the girl, Kaoruko Waguri, who explains that she did not run away because of his appearance and that she believes Rintarou is a kind-hearted person. Although he is not used to Kaoruko's bright personality, Rintarou looks forward to forming a friendship with her. There is just one obstacle that stands in his way: Kaoruko is a Kikyo student!Horimiya abandoned the story later on, primarily and only has characters interacting with each other, but that's not something Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku has done. Instead of just focusing on character interactions, instead of abandoning the story, the manga instead consistently lets the story follow along with the characters. to tell be it about family problems, mental health and friendships etc. They have their own personalities and quirks that make you root for them ALL there's literally no unlikeable characters in this manga. While not to say there are zero tropes to this manga, it is not the vocal point of any of the characters at all. Additionally, Rintaro and Waguri have a healthy, admirable relationship that positively influences their immediate friend groups. They also start dating relatively early and avoid the often-cumbersome dynamics of “will they, won’t they” romances. All the characters involved make efforts to communicate well and establish good relationships despite the challenges and biases caused by tensions between their respective high schools. As an example of good behavior, these things are fair to admire from the manga. The author masterfully shows that they don't need to flip the table and change, but carefully build upon what the author has shown. Even so, it's not a slow process either, nothing that you'd get bored or feel chapters become slow or get boring.
