About this deal

I was hooked by this story. Aurora had some great character growth throughout her story. She starts off as a somewhat meek and spoiled mafia princess but throughout her time at St. Monarchs she learns how to step up and becomes more mature. After the first book “Shatter me” it’s obvious that Tahereh Mafi wants to make Warner the villain of the story. But he is so much more and I love that about him. Warner is good, not great, and love when the soldiers and all are there. It just looks so real. I want the freaking movie. :( Their get together and the way Misha made sure to make her his, even if it costs him his life ( my heart broke a little at the thought). I feel like I’m judging this book harshly, but it just doesn't work for me. It was not at all what I want in a mafia romance and I've discovered that this author probably isn’t for me.

she keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Makes all her magic unfolds right on paper, and I'm so grateful I got to witness it This girl is destroying me. A girl who has spent the last year in an insane asylum. A girl who would try to shoot me dead for kissing her. A girl who ran off with another man just to get away from me. Of course this is the girl I would fall for. I close a hand over my mouth. I am losing my mind.” I give her the boy who had dreams that never came true. I give her the man who dared to fall in love with the enemy. I give her all the darkness in my soul, the screams of the thirty-eight people I’ve killed. I lay my past , present, and my future at her feet because without her, there’s no point in living. So I'm excited to start with Unravel Me ... I'm looking for a lot in this next book, I hope it to reach my expectations.:) I don’t consider myself a moral man. I do not philosophize about life or bother with the laws and principles that govern most people. I do not pretend to know the difference between right and wrong. But I do live by a certain kind of code. And sometimes, I think, you have to learn how to shoot first.” This reading has come to my heart and I think it has been written by the author in a very intelligent way, no doubt , we understand many things that Warner has said and done in Shatter Me. And all those things made me love this character even more !. Warner is depicted like any other supposedly dreamy boy (tall, blonde, strong, smart....) the perfect perfection...or is he???

Aurora grow up throughout this book... She wasn't like Misha that he knew his place on this world from early... She was thrown to the wolves to fight for her life and god, she was very weak in the beginning... But with Misha's help, she became a strong woman. A woman capable to fight for anything she wanted... Once Cat sees her photo on the news, her decision making seems to become extremely poor! Although I enjoyed the book and couldn't wait to see what would happen, Cat makes some really stupid decisions. She isn't a very likeable main character. The secret from her past, also made me dislike her. I didn't find her to have many redeeming characteristics. I would have preferred an alternate ending, where Cat has to pay for her past. Of course,” Delalieu says. The fear in his voice stings me a little; I dismiss it. “Yes, sir,” he says, “we do think we know where he might’ve gone—and we have reason to believe that Private Kent and the—and the girl—well, with Private Kishimoto having run off as well—we have reason to believe that they are all together, sir.” On the battlefield, I’m able to disconnect myself from the motions I’ve been taught to memorize. I’ve developed a reputation as a cold, unfeeling monster wo fears nothing and cares for less.Just because I was told it gets better and because I was promised a strong Female lead (a unicorn amongst books🦄) Cat is a recently divorced mother, who sees herself on the TV on day in the news. She is the suspect in the murder investigation of her old high school friend, and has few friends now who she can turn to. The police don't believe her, her mother wants to pretend it's not happening, her ex-husband isn't exactly helpful, and the parents at her son's school are very suspicious of her.

I’m suddenly disgusted with myself. I have to get out of this room as soon as possible, or my own thoughts will wage war against me. I make a hasty decision and for the first time, pay little attention to what I’m wearing. I tug on a fresh pair of pants and go without a shirt. I slip my good arm into the sleeve of a blazer and allow the other shoulder to drape over the sling carrying my injured arm. I look ridiculous, exposed like this, but I’ll find a solution tomorrow.

Aurora's smile froze when she saw the hatred in the man's, that she was dreaming off for so long, eyes... She grew up pretty sheltered from the world her family is a part of and that actually goes against her when she enters St. Monarchs academy. She (nor her best friend) are both naive and definitely not prepared for what they have to do to survive the next 4 years. Abbie, wait for me," I whisper-hiss as I grab hold of my best friend's arm just as we're about to enter the popular nightclub she's dragged me to. But the police are doubtful. They've questioned her .. he almost ex-husband and his girlfriend.. her mother.. and her friend. She knows she is innocent and since the police seem to be looking at only one person ... her ... she's going to do her own investigation.
