Also, you can see some red line drawings for adjustments throughout the process. I thought showing you how much thought and detail went into the process it’d be cool to see. There is all sorts of production limitations and parts of the process that are hard to capture here. Pulling plastics out of molds is definitely an artform of its own and a very interesting world at that.

Got Shadowstrip from Pulse today, just about everything I didn't like about Drag Strip's aesthetics work better with this G2 repaint, so the only thing that doesn't work as well? He doesn't sport any faction logo, it's not hidden in the flag, it's not split on the spoiler, nada. The box has a G2 Decepticon logo, would have been nice to see that on the figure even if it was just gold. I'm still not huge on the blue color being left out of bot mode except at the head either, but the figure looks ok without that. The Stunticons took some time off to enjoy their personal annual event: stealing human cars and having a violent race with them. Today Is Us Stunticons' Annual Holiday Demolition Race! TRANSFORMERS G1-INSPIRED DESIGN: This Transformers: Legacy 5.5-inch Decepticon Dragstrip robot toy is inspired by the animated series, The Transformers, updated with a Generations-style design Galvatron kidnapped Doctor Dalton of Eran to upgrade the might of his combiner warriors. When the Autobot combiners arrived to save Dalton, Drag Strip and his teammates were deployed at high speeds from Motormaster's launcher mode. They met Superion in mid-air, and the force of their deployment enabled the combiner teams to tear him apart. The Stunticons then merged into Menasor to move in for the kill. They were ultimately outwitted by the Autobots, however, who rescued Dalton and safely returned to Metroplex. Alt mode is where the paint shines, IMO. The gold (especially on the tire rims) goes a long way to break up what could easily be a boring palette. Everything is tastefully applied. This mold was retooled into Mirage. Two years later, the mold's wheels and Combiner joint would be reused for Power of the Primes Jazz. Harness the power of Energon with the Transformers: Legacy Deluxe Prime Universe Dragstrip robot toy! To Dragstrip, winning is everything. He would rather be scrapped than lose.
