There are a lot of us who have trouble not overthinking things. I'm one of them. Before, I thought it was OK to get lost in your thoughts. The voice in our head makes us think we're crazy. As soon as it's done with one thing and is done with the next thing, the voice starts judging other people. I had to look for good books on overthinking at some point.
