About this deal

When it comes to listening, I record an overall sonic refinement however no improvement in the tuning following my 3-year hiatus from KZ. The KZ ZSN Pro X offer a crisp, punchy, and well extended low-end which I find inviting. Gone are the days of strong mid-bass boom…ok, it is still a bit too punchy for some, but overall not bad. The two drivers are fast and the tuning is mainstream V-shape. The zsn pro x has enough bass but it bleeds a little bit into the mids. It doesn't have the impact that other iems at this price point have. First thing first, what is KZ ZSN Pro X? It is a hybrid IEM with a 10mm dynamic driver and a balanced armature driver. The dynamic driver handles bass and mid, whilst the BA driver delivers high frequency. So, you know which one to blame for that piercing treble response. The general sound signature is V-shaped with a very sizable bass-boost and recessed lower-midrange. There is the usual 2KHz and 4KHz peaks (a default “signature” of many chi-fi offerings) but the latter lower-treble peak is less aggressive in comparison and thus doesn’t sound as piercing. In short: a very on-your-face tuning that falls just short of aggressive. Most of the problems with the mids and treble are fixed with auto-eq using wavelet. Vocals sound much more natural and treble is also a bit less piercing after eq-ing to Harman target.

The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user The ZST X has a colored but not too offensive tuning and isn’t as fatiguing as most other budget hybrids. The provided accessories are also good enough and won’t need replacing (unlike, say, BLON BL-03/05). I’d say it’s definitely worth the price if you’re after a V-shaped signature. On some aspects, I think ZSN Pro X was successful. It stomps those bullet-style, cheap earphones in supermarkets and bookstores on both sonic performance and build quality. ZSN Pro X has detail retrieval that puts some much more expensive IEMs to shame but comes at the cost of having a brighter and more prominent treble. For the most part, the treble is non-abrasive. however, in some songs like Do Or Die’s “Do U”, the sound can get a little strident. After my 3-year hiatus from KZ products, I certainly record a refinement in their sonic quality – whereas the build has remained as impeccable as before. But I still think the company needs to cater more to the western taste and adapt their tuning by removing energy from the upper midrange – many ears still find the sound aggressive.

Separation and Layering: 3.5/5

I think the bass is where these IEMs stand out the most. It is very present and very impactful, and is especially noticeable if you listen to genres like Hip Hop/Rap/EDM. The bass is a little boosted and does sometimes sound a little muddy, but overall helps to create a “fun” sound signature for these. First of all let me tell you that i have listened so many earphone and headphone from ₹500-4000(boat,jbl, Sennheiser, sony, soundmagic,audiotechica,mi,realme,1more, OnePlus, oppo, Phillips) almost 25-30 earphones and headphones BUT THIS ONE IS MY FAVOURITE among all. It gives very detailed sound with very good amount of bass which is exactly what i like. Bass will definitely improve after some hour of burning (use poweramp app from play store to improve the bass for bassheads) . Go for it if you want a superior sound quality. The KZ ZSN Pro X has a clean presentation that is on the brighter side of neutral. It’s still V-shaped but is certainly more balanced than the Pro. This new variant has a milder bass and a more forward midrange. It still has a prominent treble but there are significant improvements there as well. Bass As a drummer, I love bass driven music. I love a good low end punch. The ZSN Pro delivers not just a brilliant bass experience, but its mids and highs are SWEET. Such a well balanced experience. To budding audiophiles like myself, I dare say that the ZSN Pro is a great place to start. AND. If this is what an ENTRY LEVEL IEM sounds like, I can't imagine what else is out there.

After an almost 3-year hiatus I was talked into doing one for the team by reviewing the KZ ZSN Pro X. After all, the predecessor KZ ZSN Pro had seen one of the largest number of visitors of our blog. The eartips work – and have always worked for me. The cable shows zero noise transfer but tangles easily. A low impedance of 25 Ω together with their high sensitivity of 112 dB make the KZ ZSN Pro X harmonize well with any phone. No external amplification needed. I used the KZ ZSN Pro X with my iPhone SE (first generation) and my MacBook Air. Based on the comparison, I found that ZSN Pro X is somewhere between Aria and ER2SE. So, I give it 3.5/5 I appreciate these IEMs for what they represent: a push for more budget-friendly in-ear headphones with exciting technologies. This is where my main complaint lies with the sound quality of the ZSN Pro X. The treble is also a little bit boosted and it’s fine most of the time, but occasionally this leads to some harshness/sibilance which can be pretty distracting.

The WORST Trend In Gaming

Beethoven Symphony No. 5 Mvmt 1 (0:00 to 0:30): focus on the sharpness of instruments, layering of woodwind over the string, and the panning of string from right to the left channel. The Y-split and right-angled 3.5mm plug are both made from lightweight translucent plastic. It’s a fairly supple cable and doesn’t have any significant cable noise, so I’m happy to see it has become the new standard for KZ’s current product lineup. Sound Personal preference is my entirely subjective and personal opinion about an IEM, based on multiple factors. This score DOES NOT contribute to the rating of an IEM. The included cable is the upgraded 4-core KZ silver plated copper version. It handles quite well and is less prone to tangling than the older brown cable in my experience. At the top are the hooded, transparent 2-pin connector housings, followed by heat-shrink pre-formed ear guides. ZSN Pro X is surprisingly decent at percussion control. I was surprised that bass does not bleed into the mid, giving ZSN Pro X a clean and lean presentation. Drum hits, such as in INFINITY, are snappy and "fast", perhaps due to the excessive treble energy.
