About this deal

With the welcome reassurance of an anti-colic valve, the Munchkin Latch offers a flexible teat which encourages babies to sip rather than suckle. The anti-colic valve helps ensure a safe and comfortable feed whilst the easy to clean bottle shape comes in a choice of sizes, colours and designs.

And with the natural glass version, it seems prudent to have a silicone sleeve for better grip and safety. Simply hold the tip of the valve (triangle head) up to the light to see the slit and pinch it apart to ensure proper venting. So there's an extra step involved in disassembling, cleaning, and assembling the MAM Anti-Colic bottles, making them a bit more hassle than most others on this list.

Cleaning was easy, with dishwasher-safe (top-rack) parts that are all removable (the bottom valve, nipple, and lid, can all be cleaned separately). Some bottles are more closely matched in both size, texture and flexibility to natural feeding, and as such, are often better accepted by babies who are used to the breast.Of course, every breast and nipple has its own unique size and shape, so think about the mom's unique attributes before picking a nipple style and nipple size. Overall, we think these are excellent baby bottles with an anti-colic system that is second to none, and definitely among the best glass baby bottles on the market. As a first time parent, you may be shocked to learn just how many choices are available when selecting a bottle for your baby.

Joovy bottles tend to leak because the vent ring inside shifts if the collar isn’t secured properly. In our testing, they never leaked, the anti-colic valve worked really well, and the older infants seemed to be able to grip the square-shaped bottle better than with a traditional round bottle. The first time we tried this feeding system process we were impressed by how easily the pouch transitioned from one mode to another, from pumping to storage, and storage to feeding. The valve design also means it can't be used with a bottle warmer because the possibility of steam or warming water entering into the bottle is high and not healthy for baby (even though Munchkin sells a bottle warmer, it is not compatible with their only bottle). The baby's in our tests really did seem to enjoy the more natural latch of the Munchkin bottle compared to the competition, which is no small feat and sometimes all a parent can hope for when it comes to getting baby to accept a bottle in the first place. Ideally, you should hold the bottle at an angle, so that the milk actually goes into the baby’s mouth.
