About this deal

Clean your parts, so your hair doesn’t tangle on the tape. You can use holding spray if you have a few loose strands. Once you have a clean part, remove the protective covering from the tape extension and place it along the part line but not directly on the scalp. Part your hair based on where you want to place the hair tinsel. If you are covering your entire head, start about an inch away from the hairline (and part lines) so that the tape is concealed once you finish installing. Use a rattail comb or your fingers to separate 1-3 strands of hair in the area you want to apply tinsel. It helps to move your usual part line over slightly to better hide the tinsel knots. The tie-in technique doesn’t require any special tools, is easy to do, and allows you to get the most seamless look with your tinsel. But it takes longer, doesn’t last as long as microbead tinsel extensions, and limits the amount of tinsel you can apply to each section. Once you have hold of the hair strands pull the ends of the tinsel and hair strands away from each other through the loop until the end of the hair is completely out of the loop. Pull tight, so the knot closes completely onto the hair strand. Step #6

Push the nano ring towards the scalp and clamp it to fasten. Repeat the process until you’ve installed the desired tinsels. Trim the bottom of the tinsel to match the length of your natural hair. How To Remove Hair Tinsel Maintaining your hair tinsel will help it last longer and look better. Here’s what you need to know to keep your tinsel shining bright! Section off the hair where you want to add your tinsel. Remember to brush out the area; it will be challenging if you have tangles. If you need to cut the tinsel, line it up with your hair and cut it. Step #2Top tip: If you notice the tinsel slipping, ask your client to hold onto the end of the bobby pin whilst you do the first few transitions with your tinsel piece. The beaded approach is the second method of applying tinsel. Hair professionals use the beaded system when installing tinsel extensions on fine hair, as the beads have an extra grip. Safe for heat-styling: Tinsel is heat-safe so you can use all of your favorite hot tools with your tinsel extensions! That means you can blow dry, flat iron, curl, or wave your hair with tinsel in tow, no problem. Step 5 : Finish your braid all the way to the end of the hair, securing with a clear elastic band and trimming the tinsel so that it is the same length as the natural hair.

Stop braiding once you have gone about an inch down the hair. Slide a bead up one of the three strands of hair till you hit the end of the braid you have so far. What color(s) will you try? Tinsel comes in any color you can imagine – even natural hair colors. Think about the look you’re going for and the colors you’ll need to make it happen. Fun ideas include rainbow colors, team colors, metallic silver and gold, or subtle tinsel that matches your natural color with added sparkle. Before you start braiding, place the tinsel into the strands of hair by whatever method you choose. You can add as many strands as you like. Hair tinsel, also called glitter hair or fairy hair, refers to sparkly, iridescent strands installed throughout your head to give your hair a shimmery appearance. They come in different colors, including rainbow colors. Prep your client's hair with a gel to tame any flyaways and to help give some control to the hair. This will make your sectioning much neater and the overall look will be more polished. The Slip Knot method is one of the two methods of installing tinsel hair extensions. This method is commonly used when installing tinsel to medium to coarse-textured hair. While you can do the Slip Knot method at home, working with a hairstylist is the better option.
