About this deal

Thrustmaster has been in the sim racing space a lot longer than MOZA Racing, and the comparison between Thrustmaster and Fanatec has been a long debate. Fanatec ecosystem compatibility: Fully compatible with Fanatec’s range of steering wheels, pedals, shifters, and handbrakes Podium Wheel Base DD1

Fanatec seems to be taking things to the next level for sim racers by uniting real-life, professional Motorsport operated by SRO with its virtual counterpart. Brake pedal spring is stiffer than throttle pedal spring, PU foam damper adds additional resistance for progressive braking feel On a less significant note, the Fanatec wheelbases have a better mounting system that uses T-nuts and even allows for side mounting whereas the Moza R9 can only be hard-mounted with 4-bolts on the bottom. The DD1 is fundamentally very similar to the DD2 with the exception of the peak torque available, which is slightly lower than the DD2. What’s the difference between a Fanatec DD1 and DD2?Direct drive sim wheels such as those from Simucube have pushed the strength of direct drive wheels above 30Nm of peak torque. The Fanatec ClubSport shifter can change modes with just the flip of a switch! If you’re a versatile racer who plays several titles and does not like wasting time, the Fanatec shifter is a lifesaver. Compatibility PC: Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter is compatible with the Thrustmaster T150, T150 Pro, T300, T500 and T-GT racing wheels on PS3/PS4 with the included DIN cable. If you're on a budget, then, we'd recommend either the Thrustmaster T150 or the Hori Overdrive wheel for Formula 1 and other racing sims. They're fantastic entry-level wheels that, unlike the Thrustmaster T300 RS, won't cost the earth.

I'm here, because I'm desperate to find the trigger that make me buying something to replace the G27 wheel and shifter. Otherwise – let’s take a detailed look at everything Fanatec are offering at the moment: CSL Series

Just looking at the Fanatec CSL Elite, you can tell it’s made by nerdy obsessives. After all, who else would choose that funky grey disco ball effect on the base? Not all will love the look, but at least it’s not super-shiny. When buying a more expensive wheel base, you want it to ooze build quality and good looks. The Thrustmaster doesn’t look overly premium with its completely plastic construction. In this regard it feels reasonably budget, and not a million miles away from budget wheels such as the Logitech G29.

The pedals featured with this wheel are the GT edition pedals that are made of metal, adjustable, and they include a clutch pedal. Overall, it’s an excellent Thrustmaster wheel for intermediate or advanced racers that might not have the budget for a direct drive Fanatec wheel. Fanatec vs Thrustmaster: Pedals Still most of the content is aged, since it's 2020 some things might have changed hardware/software related? One of the most common questions we get is – do Fanatec pedals work with Thrustmaster wheel? This is due to Fanatec producing some of the best sim racing pedal peripherals on the market. The Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals are one of the best entry level pedals available, the LC standing for load cell. Logitech has also upgraded the G923's brake, for more progressive resistance on the depress, while the LED rev indicator and 24-Point selection dial from the Playstation 4 version of the G920 become standard for this wheel. However, the G923 has Logitech's helical gearing system under the hood, which does not provide as smooth a feel as the Thrustmaster T300 RS. PS Ready: This product becomes compatible with PlayStation systems when combined with a PlayStation-licensed Wheel Base. Fanatec DD2 QR Hub with a Z-Ring installed Fanatec Wheelbases

SRC-mini SAS SFF8643 to 4x SATA cable

Two vibration motors integrated with the grips, controllable through wheel Tuning Menu (SHO) or by game through Fanatec SDK The performance on offer from the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel is 11Nm. This is around the sweet spot for a direct drive wheel. Any stronger and sim racing starts to become a much more intense experience. We are often asked if you can use Thrustmaster or Logitech wheels, pedals, shifters or other accessories in combination with Fanatec hardware. In general the devices of different vendors are not compatible to each other. Therefore, you cannot directly connect products from different companies to each other or at least this is not supported. However, for years a direct drive sim wheel hasn’t been the most accessible sim racing product. In the past, some direct drive sim wheels have required a relatively high technical knowledge to set up and utilise fully.
