About this deal

The SV10 is more powerful than the V8, but is not as compact. It features two tier radial cyclones that push air through fifteen small conical chutes. The air created by this combination of air produces centrifugal force that helps the motor to clean up smaller particles. Its motor rotates at an impressive 110,000 rpm. The V8 motorhead is available in yellow and iron, and the hand-held model is designed to be sleek and attractive. Dyson v8 absolute The Animal and V7 do not feature a HEPA filter, though the Motorhead is a good option for stair cleaning. Compared to the Animal and Fluffy, the Motorhead is less powerful. But both models have a mini motorized tool for stairs. The Animal has a lightweight design, while the Motorhead is best suited for cleaning rooms and stairs. These two vacuum cleaners are best used with a dust-free environment. When it comes to recharging, it takes around 5 hours for the battery to recharge fully. This is quite a long time, and unfortunately, you can’t have a spare battery, as Shark did with the Shark IONFlex 2X. The vacuum has three charging lights, which indicate a low charge level, medium charge, and full charge. Usability You’ll notice the Direct Drive having more bulk, which makes it resistant to tangles better than the thinner brush of the V7. Cleaning performance comparison of the Dyson V7 vs. V8 Realize that Dyson cord-free vacuums come with a lifetime filter. So there’s no need to replace it for the lifetime of the vacuum.

Combination tool– The combo tool combines a brushing attachment and mini-upholstery, too, for cleaning the delicate surfaces. Between the two, the V7 is the more nimble option. The smaller battery frees up the excess weight and gives it a lighter steering feel, particularly carpets. I have the Absolute variant with the Fluffy and Direct Drive head, which provides more versatility than the V7 MotorHead. You get a transparent 0.54L dustbin that makes up the bulk of the handheld unit, with 15 small cyclone cones arranged in a two-tier flower shape in front of it. It weighs 3.5lbs/1.6kg with no attachments, and at its heaviest, it weighs 5.6lbs/2.6kg (with the wand and main cleaning head attached). For a household vac, that’s pretty lightweight, but it’s a little on the heavier side when considering comparable handheld vacs for car cleaning.

Maintenance comparison

How easy is it to use the Dyson V8? In this section, we are going to discuss aspects like the controls, maneuvering, ergonomics, handling, and maintenance. Controls All V7 options have the same motor and battery. The difference would be the tools and a post-motor HEPA filter. It ran for as much as 41 minutes with the crevice tool and 33 minutes using the Direct Drive attachment in my tests. When it comes to the fragile surfaces, and hard floors, for example, hardwood, go for a Dyson V8 that tags along with the soft roller cleaner head. It has been designed with soft woven nylon, which is tough on the dirt and gentle on the floors. With this cleaning head, you can eliminate the large dirt debris while the anti-static carbon fiber filaments trap the fine dust and pet hair. Only the Dyson V8 Absolute has this attachment, but you can buy it separately if you need it. Filtration The V7 and V8 have identical dust bins. Both utilize the same hygienic system with a red lever for releasing dirt over a trash container.

More airflow: One of the surprises is the V7 having more airflow than the V8, at least in the max setting using the primary cleaning nozzle. You’re probably wondering: “What’s the difference between a Dyson VS. an animal?” The Dyson V8 motorhead can handle medium and low-pile carpets, but it won’t get the job done quite as well on low-pile carpets. Those photos don’t show the plowing effect of the motorhead’s direct drive. And while the motorhead will clean a lot of coffee grounds, which are fine, the V8 didn’t do so well on medium and low-pile carpets. Dyson v8 motorhead As usual, we test all the vacuums we review, and the Dyson V8 was no exception. We tested only the models available in the US, and these are the Dyson V8 Animal, Animal, and Absolute. From a noise perspective though, it’s among the noisier cordless home vacuums we have tested, at 80dB on max setting and 75dB on standard. However, it does depend on what market you’re comparing it in, as those levels actually make it one of the quieter handheld car vacs. Overall, it’s unlikely to annoy you - particularly on the standard setting. I’m not sure if it’s a fluke, but just sharing the results of the experiments. 5 Reasons to choose the Dyson V8 AbsoluteThe colors mentioned above are highlighted on the wand, cleaning head, and also the main unit. Accessories, Tools and Attachments The results in the airflow test are consistent with the cleaning experiments as the V7 does surprisingly better on carpets, which we’ll go into next. How do the Dyson V7 and V8 clean? Both vacuums score high marks with ergonomics. I like how the primary floor nozzles of each model are capable of sharp turns and avoiding furniture. The compact design helps immensely in cramped spaces. Most tools in the Dyson cord-free product line are interchangeable except for the V6 and the Outsize. Run time comparison of Dyson V7 vs. V8
