About this deal

Our minds become occupied with daily worries, taking us further and further away from the connection we have with ourselves. Through practicing gratitude for the things you have, you’ll be able to see how much you’ve already done and accomplished and find solace in what you have been able to create in your life thus far. According to a study on the effect of nature on the brain, nature has the unique ability to restore attention and increase creativity, which is great when you’re preparing to go soul-searching: “If you’ve been using your brain to multitask—as most of us do most of the day—and then you set that aside and go on a walk, without all of the gadgets, you’ve let the prefrontal cortex recover…And that’s when we see these bursts in creativity, problem-solving, and feelings of well-being.” 6) Carve out some me time. If we are to sustain our resiliency, getting out in the fresh air and experiencing simple pleasures can help. “When you hurt, be still! When you’re restless, be still! When you feel lost, be still! It’s in the stillness that you will find restoration, peace, and ultimately find yourself."-EarlMaree

I listened to a podcast where they were discussing “creatives” like myself and how sometimes doing nothing for a bit is just as important as those who work a regular 7am to 6pm job (give or take a few hours depending on your career). As if I was not getting the message from above clearly enough with a broken foot, I was on a long drive listening to an interview on the radio; they were talking about a slow movement, (now being over 50, I’m thinking they are talking about health and bathroom use), but I was wrong! It is also referred to as slow living, focusing on quality of life instead of quantity. One of the most important things you need to do when trying to reconnect with your soul is to keep learning. There are a multitude of inner work practices out there. Some of those particularly suited to Soul Retrieval may include:

9) Identify your source of energy.

When we learn to live more within and from the soul, life becomes alive and fresh again. We’re no longer in a state of suffering – or at least, we aren’t as strongly identified with the thoughts attachments associated with it – instead, we find a Home in the present moment. The key to having a better connection with yourself, however, is not to strive to make your life better, it’s to accept and appreciate the life you have right now.

Learning helps you see what you have to give and helps you identify ways to not only make a lasting impression on others but to live a fulfilled and enriched life while you are at it. 11) Remove internal distractions to reconnect I like to envision Spirit and soul in the following way: Spirit is a dark room and soul is the candle and spark of light in that dark room. This light that is our soul is consciousness (or Spirit) that is aware of itself. In this situation, you need to find a method that quietens all that noise and allows you to refocus on yourself. The soul represents consciousness, the life force in living beings. The mind gives people the ability to see, smell, taste, hear, and experience the sense of touch. In addition, the mind has another function called intellect. The mind changes all the time. I believe people are always changing and becoming new versions of their former selves. But the soul remains unchanged and separate from transformations. When the ever-changing mind is managed as intended, it becomes self-aware, focused and quiet. The soul is ultimately responsible for giving the body its life force. In subtle ways, it guides and directs our behaviour and actions.By reading everything I could about Buddhism and other eastern philosophies, I finally learned how to let things go that were weighing me down, including my seemingly hopeless career prospects and disappointing personal relationships. What happens after we experience Soul Loss? The answer is that usually, we go through an internal crisis (or Dark Night of the Soul) that leads to a deep spiritual awakening. In fact, Soul Loss is typically what triggers an initiation into the mysteries of the inner world in the first place. We get to a point where we just can’t continue living with a sense of existential emptiness and desolation any longer. A thirst is born deep inside to find our true destiny, place in the world, and meaningful connection with the Divine. Such is the beginning of our spiritual journey – the call to return Home. All I will say is that by the end of it, I felt energized yet relaxed. For the first time in a long time, I felt able to reconnect with myself with no distractions, internally or externally. When I was at a time in life, completely detached from myself, I was introduced to an unusual free breathwork video created by the shaman, Rudá Iandê, which focuses on dissolving stress and boosting inner peace. Where can you go to lose your mind and find your soul? It doesn't have to cost money, and it doesn't have to be fancy.

The conservatory was moderately full of people, which still feels strange to me after the long stretch of COVID hibernation. I tried to keep my distance but otherwise was fully immersed in the experience and my photography. As a result of Soul Loss, we begin experiencing symptoms of weakness, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and emptiness. We just know that something is missing from our lives – but many of us struggle to discover what exactly is missing. To understand Soul Loss as a loss, or disconnection, from the most vital parts of who we are, is known in psychology as dissociation: the root of many mental illnesses. The Psychology Behind Soul Loss Reading, writing, talking to people, trying new things, and of course, failure, all help you to learn to keep pushing on.One of the most asked questions is why we are here. The answer to this is entirely subjective as each person’s ‘why’ will be different. For instance, if you have a talent for music, then your soul’s purpose may be to share the gift of music with others. Others may have a soul purpose to share wisdom, to create beautiful art or design powerful machinery. Secondly, Rudá hasn’t just created a bog-standard breathing exercise – he’s cleverly combined his many years of breathwork practice and shamanism to create this incredible flow – and it’s free to take part in. To find your soul you need to question everything. You need to walk the path less traveled, be the lone wolf, and go in search of something more. This can be an uncomfortable path, hence why most people prefer the comfort and complacency of mediocrity. But learning to reconnect with your soul is a core part of the spiritual journey.
