I have a big head and I didn’t have any issues getting my head into the hood and the hood covers my head just enough. If your head is normal sized, you’ll find the coverage to be enough.

Rain suits have bad ventilation (you’ll sweat a lot) and you won’t be able to make a shelter out them.

There is no drawstring around the waist to cinch up the sides of the poncho in heavy wind or when walking through heavy brush. The poncho wears well but is significantly smaller than the USGI poncho (shorter by 5.5″ in length and 7″ in width!). I’m 5’11” and this poncho goes down to the center of my knee cap and rides up about 3-4″ from my wrist.
