About this deal

Writer, Editor, Texas Native, and Austinite for 15+ years, Adam covers all things Tabletop Gaming. Which includes Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, D&D, Board Games and everything else that involves dice, boards, cards and a table. Both of the sets here are designed so they fit into Boarding Actions' 500-point limit and the other army building rules that we looked at last week HERE. That being said, the second of these sets focusing on the Chaos Space Marines offers up a few more than 500 points but that just means you can tweak as you see fit. Mortis , by Horus Heresy veteran John French, sees Titans and their crews step to the forefront of the story, as the Traitor forces continue to break through the Imperial Palace defences and close in on the beleaguered Loyalists.

These massive contingents of Chaos Space Marines are tasked with collecting the Key-fragments spread across the galaxy needed by Abaddon and Vashtorr the Arkifane to enact their heinous plans. The fresh conflicts and theatres of war opened up by the Despoiler's actions are unlike anything the armies of the Imperium have yet faced, and they’ll need to adapt rapidly as the galaxy plunges into a new era of darkness. We’ll start with the two Arks of Omen boxes made for Boarding Actions (called a Boarding Patrol), then get into the value and savings for the bigger Baleforce battleforce. Arks of Omen 40k Boarding Patrol Box Sets: Savings & Value BreakdownThese are the first new box sets for Arks of Omen, and we’re excited to look at the kind of value they have inside. Here’s the savings and value breakdown for the two Boarding Patrol and Warhammer 40k Arks of Omen Battleforce box sets!

Launch your own Balefleet in games of Warhammer 40,000 with this boxed set containing 17 plastic Citadel: miniatures, led by a fearsome Daemon Prince. Alongside him are a massive Heldrake, a squad of elite Chaos Space Marine Terminators, and two units of mutated Possessed. This force makes a fantastic core around which to build your Chaos Space Marines army, or a powerful addition to an existing force. Our goal is to get games to you, the loving owner who will play with them, welcome to Always Games! Personally, if I was committed to using the Balefleet box, I’d go with a Land Raider and more Chaos Terminators. It’s a lot of points but you can really make them the utility unit you’ll need to do stuff. I’d probably still keep the Boarding Action box because I like Abaddon in this list and the extra bodies are good for objective holding. That means I would want to find a way to max out the Chaos Space Marine Legionaries just to have a unit of 10. The List Liking the chaos ones ok. Wish the possessed and cultists had a bit more customization, but I guess that’s not a huge deal. cultists i can raid the bits box or paint different skin tones on duplicates. Possessed… hmm that’ll be a challenge. The map is a large-scale reproduction of the one found in the book, measuring 596mm x 420mm, and printed on cotton. It comes in a faux-leather wrap to keep it safe and let you roll it out dramatically, like one of Rogal Dorn’s sub-commanders pointing out weak spots in the defences. It’s secured with a leather cord and a metal pendant featuring the sigil of the Titan Legions.

Of course, to play games in a spaceship , you’ll first need a spaceship – or at least a board’s worth of spaceship terrain, such as the contents of the Boarding Actions Terrain Set. This set contains two sturdy double-sided gaming boards and 68 pieces of massively modular terrain, which can be used for the Boarding Actions missions in the Arks of Omen series.

Jakhals are brutal human cultists pumped with combat stims and eight drops of the warp-infused blood of true World Eaters, turning them into furious melee machines with no regard for their own lives. They’re effective fighters in their own right, and throw themselves into enemy guns for a chance to please their murderous god. World Eaters Datacards and Dice Set The various factions of the 41st Millennium are now forced to undertake Boarding Actions against these twisted space hulks, with small, elite forces clashing in their claustrophobic confines. In this Blood Angels novel, the Redeemer of the Lost joins the Red Wings Chapter as they experience strange events and battle monstrous xenos foes, and face the possibility of extinction. The Emperor’s finest are the prime bulwark against Abaddon’s nefarious schemes, and this Boarding Patrol is typical of their brutal efficiency in such matters. You’ll be able to face any foe with a highly customisable Primaris Captain in Gravis armour, five Heavy Intercessors, and 10 Assault Intercessors.Balefleets are the term given to the various fleets used by Chaos forces in the Arks of Omen Campaign. It’s interesting to see the huge difference in value between the two boxes, as GW did price them differently, bevcaue one would have had a ton of value and one not so much. Is The Chaos Boarding Patrol Box Worth it? In the brand new Boarding Actions format, compact armies battle through cramped corridors and treacherous corners. New and upcoming Boarding Patrol boxes give you a diverse selection of models to form effective and characterful armies.

As we said, this has a bit of a random assortment of models, but the value is definitely there! This actually rivals some of the better boxes from Christmas, so if you need all the models inside, this is totally worth grabbing, as you basically get two boxes of Possessed for free! It also contains the new Daemon Prince, which is quite pricey to grab on its own, so that’s very nice.

This gives you a pretty elite option for your Chaos Space Marine armies and it fits in nicely with the new Detachment rules for Arks Of Omen that you can indulge in.
