About this deal

True Winters often (although definitely not always!) look like the ‘classic’ Winter - they can have very dark hair, fair skin and bright eyes. Their skin can be any colour, but that feeling of contrast generally remains - either between hair and skin tone, or between skin/hairs and bright whites of eyes and teeth. The dominant tonal direction for this seasonal sub-type is Deep, so you can visit Shop by Colour and filter for the Deep dominant tonal direction for more colours which you might love (if you want to read more about how tonal directions relate to seasons, this post is a great starting point). While most Winters suit contrast when combining colours, your tendency to sit towards the Summer end of the Winter palette can mean that you prefer a little less contrast within your outfit, although some light/dark or neutral/bright contrast can bring your look to life. Be led by what feels best!

She adds: “however small it may seem, having positive anticipation can be motivating and give you something to work towards, which is empowering and a mood booster in itself.” Get outside and keep moving The nights are drawing in, the temperature’s dropped and the brighter days of summer are well and truly behind us. Bright Winter introduces an electric vibrancy into the winter color spectrum. This is attributed to its proximity to the Spring palette. Consequently, Bright Winter hues are characterized by their vibrancy and effervescence. Visualize bright crimson reds with a subtle infusion of orange, and the glossy sheen of patent red leathers. These shades are distinguished by their luminosity and vitality.True Winter sits between Dark Winter and Bright Winter on the seasonal flow chart. It is the heart of the Winter palette, and the colours are brighter, cooler and slightly lighter than those of Dark Winter. The colours lean towards the cool end of the scale but are not extremely cool. This means they contain more blue than yellow. So even if you choose yellow (which is the warmest colour of all), you will find only cooler shades that have a tint of blue. You will also not find many shades of yellow-based colours but instead more shades of blue and grey, which are naturally cool. Going deep under cover disguised as the paid assassin Snow White, Winter must infiltrate the inner-circle of the extraordinarily powerful man at the heart of the dark web,” said Audible. “This a gripping, fast-paced ride through a disturbingly plausible technological future in which Callister’s protagonist must battle to bring down the terrifying crimes tearing through society.” Soft, muted colours, such as dusty blues and lavender, will wash you out since they are not intense enough.

True Winter is the original Winter season of the four seasons colour analysis and is the ‘standard’ Winter palette. The other two Winter palettes have been modified to accommodate the respective Autumn and Spring influence. The colours are fairly high in chroma, meaning they are saturated, bright and vibrant – in keeping with this season’s secondary colour aspect. Please note: Do not worry too much if one characteristic of your appearance deviates from the below descriptions. You may still fall into this colour season if your overall appearance matches the profile. During the autumn and winter months, it can be really hard to get the miles in while still feeling safe and secure on the roads. If you're running in the morning, before it gets light, or in the evening when darkness has fallen, then your best bet is to put on some reflective high-vis kit, as well as a quality head torch to help you find your way.

The word winter comes from the Germanic wintar which in turn is derived from the root wed meaning 'wet' or water', and so signifies a wet season. Bright Winters very often look like they might be Springs, with lighter brown or blonde hair and bright blue eyes.
