About this deal

To see which is the best, we subjected seven cutting pastes to a series of trials, applying them by both hand and using a dual rotary polisher machine fitted with a fresh medium foam cutting pad.

In most circumstances, cutting compound is not needed. A regular polish will serve you well. It’ll get rid of light swirls or scratches and make your car shine.Copy: After selecting one or more items using your mouse or keyboard, press Ctrl+C. The information will be copied to the clipboard.

Using the two text fields below, try cutting the text in the first field and pasting it into the second. After cutting and pasting the text, "Example cut text" should only be in the bottom box. A metal cutting paste or cutting fluid should be used when cutting or drilling metal. The primary reason is to offset or reduce the inevitable build up of heat. Heat is generateddue to both friction and energy lost whilst deforming the material. As air cooling alone is unlikely to be sufficient to prevent heat build up in both the tool and the work surface a drilling lubricant is required. Because excessive temperature can ruin the temper of the drill bit or the item being drilled it is important to prevent this happening. Car polishing compound is similar to cutting compound but much less abrasive. It removes the top layers of wax and build-up to restore a glossy shine to the paint. It doesn’t remove layers of paint. Unlike the original T-Cut, the Colour Fast claims to have ‘3-in-1’ ability which takes away the surface layer of paint, fills scratches with a coloured compound and then applies a layer of protective wax. Rubbing compound can be applied by hand with a cloth or circular applicator pad, or with a polishing machine using a wool pad.Press and hold down on any text with your finger and then let go. Upon letting go, a menu should appear on top-right of the screen (shown to the right) that lets you cut. Highlight the text you want to cut and press your finger on Cut to cut. Pasting text Bauer Media Group consists of : Bauer Consumer Media Ltd, Company number 01176085; Bauer Radio Limited, Company number: 1394141; Farecla is famous in paint correction circles, and G3 Premium Abrasive Compound is an excellent example of a stronger compound, perfect for correcting deeper scratches and paint imperfections, so long as you're careful and know what you're doing. Stronger compounds have a greater chance of 'burning' through that clear coat, not ideal.

If you want to apply the cutting compound to restore paint shine and remove oxidisation, the job is much bigger. It’s best to use a buffing machine rather than applying by hand for large areas. You should also work in sections from the top down, completing each section before moving on. But it really works well and requires very little effort. Even applying it by hand brought up the old, tired paint with minimal rubbing and using a few passes with the machine created a shine which hadn’t been seen since the car rolled out of the factory. It didn’t make such a noticeable difference to rough rattle can paint or the Nissan’s new clearcoat but the scratches still disappeared easily. RTD Compound is a soft paste to be used many metal cutting operations, such as reaming, tapping and drilling. It is suitable for all metals including hardened steels, nimonics and titaniums. Once the above steps are completed, the text is moved into a temporary area called the clipboard. To paste that text, move the cursor to where you want to paste, and do any of the following: Apply a small amount of cutting compound to the wool pad of the machine polisher. Apply this to the paint surface using light, steady strokesDiamond paste is a water-based polishing compound that is used for polishing the surfaces of many types of materials including stone, metal, ceramic, gemstones and glass. The paste consists of microscopic diamond particles (diamonds being the hardest natural material around) that act as an abrasive to scrub, smooth and polish surfaces. A diamond paste can also be used to clean surfaces, as, due to its consistency it can get into small grooves to remove dirt. Diamond paste is supplied in tubes or dispensing syringes for accurate dispensing. Benefits of Using Diamond Paste The instructions insist the H9.01 is only designed for use with a machine, but it was effective when applied by hand too.
