About this deal

Competitively priced amidst a sea of hybrid mattresses, the Emma Premium holds it's own and supports all sleep positions. Even at its regular retail price, it's worth the investment but find a deal and this makes for an irresistible night's sleep. Emma Premium mattress review: Alternatives to consider The Emma Original Mattress is a highly awarded mattress, so if you want to be amongst winners, this could be the one for you! Get ready to wake up feeling refreshed and supported all night. It's made up of 4 layers: Since having received my Emma mattress, I'm sleeping better. Very pleased with it and would recommend it to others. If you're a side sleeper, choosing the right mattress is essential. Look for a medium or medium-firm feel that suits your body type. Opt for a mattress with a rich comfort layer to prevent discomfort in the hips and shoulders. Ensure proper spine alignment for a restful sleep. The Emma Original mattress is ideal for side sleepers, offering a medium-firm feel and excellent spine support. It has earned the 'Best Mattress Overall' award for 2023, providing the comfort and quality you need. Viscoelastic Memory Foam - this adaptable layer helps to reduce motion transfer, so no more being woken up by your partner tossing and turning!

That’s difficult to answer, as they all reach exceptionally high standards of manufacturing quality, support and, most importantly, comfort. If you suffer from night sweats or are a ‘hot’ sleeper, you may find the Premium best, thanks to its extra layer of Airgocell® foam. The adaptive nature of Emma mattresses means that while the range may be small compared to larger brands, there’s bound to be one that will suit you. We'd recommend it particularly if you like a more bouncy mattress that keeps your body supported! It is suited to all types of sleepers though, so we've got you covered. While others recommend hours of expansion, the Premium will be ready in under an hour but will continue to expand. The handles on the side of the mattress make it easy to pull into place but I recommend unfurling directly onto your bed base so you don’t have too many problems. The Emma Original Mattress is the standard and first mattress released by Emma Sleep. Again a medium firm mattress, this is a perfect choice for overall value as still rated one of the best mattresses in the UK by experts at Which?, Good housekeeping and many more. The Emma Original is a 25cm tall, all-foam mattress with two different cover options. Let's take a look at what's going on inside. The uppermost foam layer is referred to as 'Point Elastic Airgocell' foam, and its main purpose is to help with temperature regulation. Beneath that you'll find a tier of memory foam, which molds to the sleeper's body shape and hugs the joints.

HRX Supreme Foam - this section at the bottom is created from denser foam and ensures the firmness of the mattress lasts. Temperature Regulating Cover - this moisture resistant cover will help you keep your cool all night long! Memory foam's detractors often cite that sinking feeling but the support here is exceptional, whether you’re lying in the middle of the bed or much closer to the edge. There’s a firm bounce here that feels like you are sleeping on something solid but supportive to your body, regardless of your positioning on the bed. Whether you’re star fishing or sleeping next to someone, the Emma Premium constantly made me get actively excited about going to bed. UltraDry Cover - this refreshing cover helps to keep you cool all night long, and can easily be removed and washed. The only slight issue initially is that new mattress smell. It’s entirely dependent on the mattress but the king size for this review did have a slightly chemically scent for almost four days. It evaporated after that time though and wasn’t particularly unpleasant even on the first day.

As well as considering the design, comfort and price, I also reviewed the Emma Original mattress on key performance aspects. These include: how well it regulates temperature, how well it absorbs movements on the surface, and how sturdy the edges are. Here's how I got on. Temperature regulation HRX Foam - this layer helps to keep your spine aligned, and give you extra support whatever your sleeping position is. While the top cover is cited as temperature regulating and that top layer of memory foam is meant to draw away heat, I did find that the Emma Premium sleeps a little warm on hot nights. It was only noticeable on exceptionally warm nights but those who regularly sleep hot might want to err on the side of the slightly cooler Simba Hybrid. The weak edge support became more pronounced during co-sleeping. If you're set on the Emma Original, I'd recommend those who share a bed to invest in a larger size, especially if both of you are of an average to heavier weight and like to spread out when sleeping. The next most expensive model is the Luxe Cooling (read our Emma Luxe Cooling mattress review). That's the firmest option in the lineup, although still only medium in terms of firmness. The springs are shorter than on the Premium, and there are specialist foams geared towards cooling. Emma mattresses are based in Frankfurt in Germany, but manufacturing takes place right here in the UK. This brand is truly international. They operate in 20 countries across four continents and are constantly expanding into new markets. They may only be a few years old, but Emma mattresses are making a big impression in Europe and beyond. Find out more Emma Premium– Six layers of foam and a spring core make this a truly dreamy-soft and comfortable mattress for all sleeping positions. The 5-zone CarbonFlex core has extra-tall springs for better bounce, while the Airgocell® foam allows the air to circulate and keep things cooler all night long. A Which? Best Buy winner for innovation. Are Emma mattresses any good? The Emma Original is the cheapest of the brand's lineup, and the only all-foam option. The cheapest hybrid is the NextGen Premium (read our Emma NextGen Premium mattress review). This has the same firmness as the Original, and adds a layer of tall springs. Great mattress and service. Delivery was prompt and I was kept well informed. The mattress is super comfortable and remarkably easier to move than other memory foam mattresses.
