About this deal

Hello Detectives! There’s just ONE MONTH TO GO until the second book in my new series, The Body in the Blitz, is published! I know that it won’t be Death on the Nile, but I do wonder whether you will include Murder in the title again.

I had a sneaky feeling you would use two colours, as it is your last book in the series. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the cover looks like and most importantly, what it will be called. Plans for a weekend of celebrations are in full swing. But all is not well, for in the detectives’ long absence, Deepdean has changed. Daisy has lost her crown to a fascinating new girl – and many of the Detective Society’s old allies are now their sworn enemies. I think that the new girl will be hurt somehow in the woods, and Daisy and Hazel witness it but the new girl doesn’t know they did. And while Daisy had despised her and tried to avoid her, becomes intrigued after the new girl doesn’t tell anyone what happened and instead blames it on something else in the school. Then the new girl’s parents come down and start threatening to press charges, and Daisy and Hazel have to prove that it wasn’t the school’s fault and prove what happened in the woods. WOW!! That colour us absolutely beautiful! I cannot wait for the title to be revealed! The funny thing is that my birthday is a week after the title reveal! It will be like an early birthday present!EEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!! Book Genre: Childrens, Fiction, Historical, Historical Fiction, Middle Grade, Mystery, Short Stories, Young AdultOoh, that’s an interesting idea. I don’t know – maybe! She is VERY fun to write, but so abrupt that I’m not sure she’d work for a whole book. I have wondered about writing spin-offs starring the Junior Pinkertons, or Binny Freebody and her friends, though, so you never know! Noooo…why do one of the detective society have to die? I hope it’s Amina, because she’s now part of the detective society AND she’s from Egypt. Maybe she’s going on holiday and the duo are invited? Or it could be Kitty, Beanie or Lavinia, but I don’t want them to die. I can’t stand Daisy or Hazel dying, though.

What great news!!! I can’t wait to read it! I love mystery books as you try to unravel the mystery at the same time as the characters, and I love how at the end all the clues make sense. Your plots are exceptional and you write beautifully. I am very excited! Also ‘The murder on the Orient express’ is coming out this year, and I will definitely go and see it! Good old Agatha Christie! PPS: Beanie is my favourite character because she’s so innocent and has her moments such as when she throws herself into * to stop her hurting the rest of the society and Binny! Oh noooo is daisy or hazel gonna die! I thought the series would continue at least to a tenth book! So sad it has to end here. Hope hazel is saved!

who knows. I have a gut feeling that it is Daisy as Hazel is usually the one narrating in the books. i have another idea although i know ur title, Death sets sail. My idea is Mummified murder. maybe Daisy fancies Alexander after all and Hazel is jealous so at the end of the book she kills Daisy and makes it look like an accident. I'm reading the collection Cream Buns and Crime right now (I don't know how else to acquire these individual stories) but since this is listed separately, I'll review both the story, and then later the collection as a whole. It’s important to say that this cover is not finished! It’s just a holding image – Daisy and Hazel won’t look quite like this on the final cover, and there will be lots more lovely details – you’re going to have to wait a few months more for the complete cover, which is being designed by my wonderful illustrator Nina Tara, as always. We’ll be revealing BOTH the cover and the title later this spring … so start thinking about what Book 8’s title might be now …

Now I have literally just finished it, and it was jolly good! I’m now reading the extract from Jolly Fowl Play, and when I’ve finished that, I’m going to read The Case of Lavinia’s Missing Tie – my brother(who in many ways is not unlike Bertie) has to put up with this every morning! My friends and I have ‘A Spoonful of Murder’ as our number 1 out of the series because we all love Hazel, but we are wondering if this one will take its spot! Hi, yes, there is! The book will keep its title in the USA, but it will have a gorgeous new cover. I’ve seen it, and I love it – we should be revealing it some time this autumn. Keep a look out! I’m really glad I have fans in the USA now 🙂

This is probably a good taster for new fans who want to try and see if they like this series. And this is very much a fan story. I’ve been waiting for the title for forever, but with the fantastic and beautiful cover is more than a deal! I’ll also be having Christmas in October. If I go to visit my Dad for Halloween I’ll soooooooooo read it!!!!!! It was fun reading a story from Daisy’s point of view. Despite the fact that she is spoiled, thoughtless and quite full of herself, I am very fond of Daisy. I love how dramatic and clever she is. She is a unique and interesting main character. I can’t wait though I am always reading your books Robin I read them over and over and even my grandma loves to help me try and solve who the murderer is in your books ! Me and my bestie are looking forward to it! ? Hi Colette, we’re still working that out, but I know we will have some codes for you to use, some recipes and some puzzles to solve! I promise to update my schedule before term starts again – I won’t be doing any events before October, because I’m going to travel to do some research for book 6, but after that there will be lots! I hope you can come to one.

Robin's books are: Murder Most Unladylike (Murder is Bad Manners in the USA), Arsenic for Tea (Poison is Not Polite in the USA), First Class Murder, Jolly Foul Play, Mistletoe and Murder, Cream Buns and Crime, A Spoonful of Murder, Death in the Spotlight and Top Marks for Murder. She is also the author of The Guggenheim Mystery, the sequel to Siobhan Dowd's The London Eye Mystery. I have tried figuring out what the title of your book might be called, although it is a hard one. My best guess would be all aboard for murder. But I later found that it was mentioned on the cover of your third book, First Class Murder.I’m really excited about ‘Top Marks for Murder’. Hopefully, if you come to Bristol, it will be out before you come so I can get it signed. Thank you for writing another mystery for Hazel and Daisy- MMU is my favourite series and I’m looking forward to their next murder mystery! All your books are superb! Ah, I didn’t guess correctly! However, ‘Cruel Coral’ is such a nice colour and it will look brilliant with all the other MMU books. Here are my first book title guesses: ‘Atrocity at the Anniversary’ and ‘Whodunnit in the Woods’. The blurb to book 8 is really intriguing and the story sounds very interesting so far. She’s a bit more grown-up than my books (mainly because everyone in them ARE grown-ups, with all of the usual grown-up problems), but there’s nothing in them that’s really gory or rude! I started reading them when I was 12 and never got upset by anything in them, although some of the murders scared me a bit. I think you should start with Murder on the Orient Express, or Death on the Nile. Those are two of my favourites! It also isn’t available in North America yet. This is because it’s only published by my UK publishers, Puffin. My US publishers, S&S, would have to buy the rights to publish it – and they may do so in future, but again I haven’t heard any concrete plans about that yet. What amazing news! I’m so excited for Once Upon a Crime. What a great title! In particularly looking forward to finding out what happened at Uncle Felix and Aunt Lucy’s wedding, as well as reading The Case of the Second Scream. Congratulations!
