About this deal

In a great location. I strongly recommend this house. Nothing negative to be said about it. We extended our stay by another week as we loved it so much. An attempt to break this up saw the cutting through of New Oxford Street in 1850, but it remained a relatively impoverished warren of streets until the 1960s when the Centre Point scheme effectively blew this apart forever.

Through this engaging version of one of the most incredible and sweeping power struggles in human history, you’ll find scheming mistresses, slaves who rise to great political power, famed architects, formidable pirate captains, the everyday mingling of Christian and Muslim peoples while more powerful people assert that the differences matter to those small folk, and much more. The house has lots of character and space- both things we appreciate. There are a lot of things to see and do nearby. The Lion House: the Coming of a King’ is non-fiction so well done that you might just think you’re reading a deeply intriguing historical drama. While dense and thorough, Christopher de Bellaigue’s account of Suleiman the Magnificent’s incredible vie to become Sovereign of the World versus the Holy Roman Empire of the 16th century, it is so much more than that. The project, completed in 2008, hosted many suitability features with the focus aimed at integrating these systems into the design features of the building. The success of the project hinged on exceeding all previous benchmarks showcasing sustainable architecture. We are a licensed wedding venue so if you wish to hold your ceremony with us as well as your reception, we will happily accommodate you. Read if you want to know a lot about Venice’s interactions with the ottomans and some big characters of the time told in an unusual way.

Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin The venue is completely self-contained and can offer great facilities for conferences from 6 to 150 people. Mountain bikers will love cycling across the moorland and along forest trails, with a stunning technical trail beginning at North Bovey leading to Lustleigh Cleave. Explore the landscape on foot with The Dartmoor Way being a perfect way to start with this 90-mile circular route linking pretty hamlets and villages with a range of scenery from quiet country lanes to sheltered valleys or wild upland, with one route for walkers and the other for cyclists. If you know a fair amount about Suleyman as well as about Venetian politics in the 16th century, there isn’t much here that will be new to you, though it’s well told regardless, and the audiobook is narrated beautifully. The rest of the gardens are no less idyllic, pretty lawns ringed by trees and shrubs and with a fine sun terrace. Take the stairs up to the first floor holding onto the rope handrail as you go and passing the quaint porthole window at the top of the stairs before coming to the spacious master bedroom, boasting a super-king-size bed, a TV and antique furnishings. A beautiful cottage, decorated and presented to a high standard with all the mod cons. It really felt like a home from home and was so inviting and relaxing.
