About this deal

It should have a very high brew ratio, usually two parts water to one part coffee. Brewed coffee is more like 15 to one. The Mirage’s 53mm pressurized double filter basket offers plenty of room for error in grind size, making it a solid beginner-friendly option. Froth Milk (Optional): Frothing milk is similarly easy as it follows all the same steps but you put milk instead of water in the chamber. Some pre-grounds espresso blends are a little bit too fine for the Nanopresso. I got a bag of Costa grinds and they were a little on the fine side. It’s been a while since I bought pre-ground but if I remember correctly the Lavazza espresso is ground just right. If you really want to persist with the Illy ground coffee you could either try adding 15g instead of 16g that might help. You’ll notice that the portafilter does actually tamp the coffee deeper once it’s screwed on tightly (it sort of self tamps) So by having a gram less, it may just improve the flow. You could also remove the small silicone piece from the spring in the portafilter (non-pressurized mode) this will also help.

The user manual is extremely well illustrated. It includes a detailed step-by-step guide, tips for getting the best results, a troubleshooting section along with details on the cleaning process. So sorry for the late reply, I can get a great quality coffee from both the Staresso and the Handpresso. You don’t have much control over the Handpresso regarding the pressure, you press the button and it just releases the pressure on its own. So the consistency is there, however, I’ve never been able to improve the crema, also the water capacity is also on the small side. So, if you are after true espresso, the Staresso is the one for you. But for good coffee (not espresso), then the AeroPress is our winner. It’s nice to look at and easy to use (but not really thumb-friendy). Unfortunately, the espresso that came out was everytime too bitter and had a bad taste, although I tried différend grind. Do you have a idea what the problem could be.With my normal espressomachine and the bialetti, the coffee is much more better. No comparison! But maybe you can give me some good advices to change it and give the nanopresso a last chance. The Staresso coffee machine also has the ability to froth milk. This is a nice addition if want to enjoy milk-based espresso drinkslike latte or cappuccino on the go. Although, you do still need to find a way to heat your milk up. 3. Two Coffee Shot Glasses You also need to be able to heat the milk somewhere which may be more difficult than heating the water. But credit where credit is due, as this feature isn’t something the competition can do. The capacity of the wide commercial coffee basket can hold 16-20g of ultra-fine grind for a standard double-shot espresso. This is amazing as a portable handheld espresso maker, not many of its rivals offer this capacity. What’s Included?

Staresso Review: An Impressive Portable Espresso Maker Staresso Review: An Impressive Portable Espresso Maker

The Flair Signature makes great espresso. And, not just great for a portable machine, but great in any context. Therefore, it’s one of the best manual lever espresso machines. It achieves the 9 bars required for a perfect shot, and it can pull either double or single shots. Nevertheless, that pressurized portafilter is also the reason that the espresso the Nanopresso produces won’t be as good as the Picopresso. It would provide a great option for when you have a little more space in your luggage and don’t want to risk caffeine deprivation on your holidays. Aicok Portable Espresso Machine The Wacaco Picopresso is an upgrade of the popular Nanopresso, and the company is not shy about its espresso-making capabilities, claiming it can brew authentic cafe-quality espresso. Weighing under 1 kg and including a travel case, the Leverpresso Pro is an excellent option for on-the-go espresso enthusiasts.

How to Choose? The Main Deciding Factors

First up, it’s a very solid option for the price. The Staresso portable machine is easy to use and clean and it creates good coffee on the go. Although the coffee quality isn’t quite as good as a home espresso machine, what you lose in quality, you gain in freedom.
