About this deal

That’s not to say the Alienware AW2720HF is bad when playing other games or outside of games. In Metro Exodus we’re plenty pleased with the colors (with 99% coverage of sRGB), responsiveness, and contrast of the display. The visual quality holds up in movies as well, where we’re even more appreciative of the IPS panel’s wide viewing angles and anti-glare coating. We can easily see the screen from wherever we’re lounging. MSI offers three levels of pixel response. The fastest is a little OTT and results in some overshoot and inverse ghosting. But the middle setting makes for very good response with no noticeable downsides. TN Display - My daughter pointed out that if sitting too low or at an angle, the screen becomes harder to see. Ideally you want to be looking straight at the screen. You the screen doesn't fade when looking at it from slight angles. Speaking of cameras. MSI also provides a mount that fixes to the top bezel. The idea is to attach a webcam to the display for streaming purposes. It’s a niche feature, but could be handy for gamers who like to stream. Performance Blisteringly fast response times. Ideal for FPS games (Apex Legends, Titanfall 2 etc). Everything is sooo fluid.

So I bought this monitor before returning it with great excitement and high hopes but unfortunately it was not meant to be. MSI has come up with a very nice overall feature set. The core specifications, including the superwide 1440p resolution and 144Hz refresh are right at the sweet spot for high-end gaming right now, while the extras including the fancy RGB LED lighting and USB-C connectivity may sweeten the deal depending on your needs and preferences. Resolution-wise, we’re talking 3,440 by 1,440 pixels, which is the current norm for this class of 21:9 aspect monitor. There’s also adaptive sync support in FreeSync 2 rather than Nvidia G-Sync form. The HFA also seems to have different options for GTG, but that could just be an omittance on the specs for the HF and they could be identical.Well, the specs say it all, 360Hz Refresh Rate... What can I say more than this. cool looking screen with RGB colors, it doesn't have built it speakers. So you are probably thinking this review is dragging on and on what could possible be wrong with this monitor? It makes for punchier colours and better contrast than the IPS alternative and in this implementation comes with little to no downside in terms of response and input lag. We’d rate that as a win.

Elsewhere, you get excellent connectivity in the form of DisplayPort, HDMI and USB-C interfaces.MSI has also fitted the Optix MPG341CQR with a camera in its lower bezel. Height adjustable stand design. The monitor positioned can easily be moved if you apply gentle pressure above or below the monitor The final really significant feature from an image quality perspective is HDR400 certification. It’s the very lowest level of HDR support and doesn’t include local dimming. It also means the MSI Optix MPG341CQR is capable of 400 nits brightness, which is punchy by conventional terms but nowhere near the 600 or 1,000 nits produced by what we would class as true HDR displays. The 27-inch screen size provides an immersive gaming experience, with crisp and vibrant visuals thanks to the IPS panel technology. The 1920 x 1080 resolution delivers sharp and detailed images, making my games look stunningly realistic. The 240Hz refresh rate is a game-changer, offering incredibly smooth motion and reduced motion blur, resulting in a more enjoyable and competitive gaming experience.Stand is solid, very firm and doesn't wobble the screen even if the desk shakes. There is also a convenient cable management tunnel within the stand
