About this deal

The whole 30 year old virgin, insecure about her body and her super hot athlete friend who is gonna lend a helping hand with the virginity issue is not something I can suffer through right now. I’m usually so harsh with my reviews but this time I didn’t want to analyze everything I disliked about it because I really enjoyed the book. I level him with a stare and angrily state, “I am a short, round Cornish seamstress with a West Country accent that only gets thicker when I’m flustered. Freya decides to confide in her best friend about how awkward she is around guys and can’t date because of it – he becomes her love coach to help her out.

Its so funny reading a book with a Scottish character because I rarely find them and as a proud Scottish woman myself it's a real treat to read. This isn't my favourite trope and there are only a couple of books that have ever made me rethink my rating on this trope. Our stoic businessman/weekend daddy is totally deserving of some love and it comes in the form of his complete opposite, and employee! Overall, I think I would have enjoyed this book more in audio format because I tend to like light-hearted long books in audio. They spend most of their free time together, watching Netflix and arguing like an old married couple. What happens when an almost 30-year-old virgin agrees to let her Scottish footballer best friend give her some lessons in seduction? anyways, this was a really fun and easy read and if you don't mind some pet peeves that i know a lot of readers have (ex: virgin, inexperienced, and insecure h), then i definitely recommend this. Mac is a tattooed, alpha-male, football player and Cookie (Mac’s nickname for Freya) is a seamstress with insecurity about her weight/size. Divertido, coqueto, sexy, con harto dirty talk, él tiene como prioridad su carrera futbolística por lo que una relación no está en sus planes hasta que su mejor amiga se cuela en su corazón. If you're looking for a fun sports romance that you won't be able to get out of hand, then this is a book for you!

When he learns that Freya is a virgin, I was swooning that he wanted to teach her and take care of her before she found someone she wanted to be with. I had to DNF this book because it is one of the cringiest books ever with a highly unlikable heroine! Mac decides to be her love coach what starts out as hanging out and taking Freya to places she has never been before turns into something so much more for them both. OW drama: The whole Cami situation was off putting as well, his former 2-year sex fling who ended things with him stuck to him too much and they had lunch once a week? And it won’t, if I have anything to say about it,” I growl, nuzzling into her neck and inhaling her womanly fragrance as if it’s my last breath. Your size and your shape are bonnie, and you don’t need to trip over your words in front of a guy you fancy because you should never doubt how beautiful you are. Mac is a footballer in London who’s best friend and teammate Roan is engaged to Freya’s best friend and business partner Allie. Body-shaming: Freya was sooo insecure about her body shape, I swear every couple chapter there was a remark about how her stomach wasn't flat.

I also never read any other book from this author to really care for the other characters that were constantly mentioned. He almost drags Freya kicking and screaming when she goes on another OM2 date lol, but he asks her to trust him, and she does. Each month, members receive a free book from one of our moderator-authors and have a chance to ask questions and chat with the featured author. I’ve read Romances that dealt with similar situations such as Before Jamaica Lane, and while it’s not my favourite book ever, it did a good job with this exact type of situation/trope. I was nervous going into this one because I don't read a lot of rom coms and sometimes Amy's books just aren't my vibe.

They were polar opposites of each other (excluding the fact that they were both ginger - imagine their children! In about 20% of the book, we're informed about this diagnosis, Mac leaves London and Freya, his game suffers, his grandad dies and Mac reconciles with Freya again and HEA. Honestly I adore nothing more then a foul mouthed heroine and a hero who's a glutton for punishment. I’m a bigger woman myself and could completely relate to the inner thoughts of Freya, her insecurities and how this effected her confidence in every day life.
