It is a juniper and coriander-based Gin, distinct for having a more understated juniper flavour and unique profile. Boodle's gin presents a unique and inspired creation, drawing inspiration from sloe gin and infusing it with the robust and rich flavour of mulberries.It lends itself well to being served on formal occasions, and is most often enjoyed in a martini or a Boodles and Tonic. I never thought I would be gin person BUT I had a Vesper at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec, Gin, Vodka, Lillet Blanc and a dash of bitters. Interestingly, Boodles Gin contains no citrus – a practical decision made by original distillers who expected a brilliant drink to include a slice of lemon or lime. It begins as a clean spirit distilled from English wheat, and possesses an approachable blend of botanicals including .

In 2001, Seagram's assets were sold to several companies, including Pernod Ricard, which took over Boodles. Traditional herbs like nutmeg, sage and rosemary create a refined flavour profile make Boodles a perfectly balanced London Dry that works across an array of garnishes, such as orange, grapefruit, lime or lemon and classic cocktails such a Proper Gin and Tonic, Churchill Martini and Tom Collins. A friend introduced me to Boodles back in 1987 and when ever I got got the chance to purchase, that was my go to brand.

All of these ingredients come together to add a mellow yet herbal quality to Boodles, balancing out the essential piney notes from the juniper. It begins as a clean spirit distilled from English wheat, and possesses an approachable blend of botanicals including sage, rosemary and nutmeg.
