Ahhh! Just what I needed! It’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to read Callie Rose and I’m glad I didn’t miss this one! The guys stayed their dominating selves, however I did love seeing them open up more to Ayla and confessing their feelings to her. Ayla became even MORE of a badass and watching her character progress throughout this series, especially with her disability, was beautiful. I really love reading about female side characters who have some sort of personality other than being a best friend or a jealous ex. Callie Rose is definitely one of my favorite RH authors. I love her writing style as it's always polished and so smooth to read. She does a great job of creating a solid and interesting plot, but also blends the relationship building aspect between the characters throughout the story without it just being about sex. There's a decent amount of steam, but you know it's more about love than just lust. I really appreciate that. I'm so sad this was only a three-part series but what a glorious and satisfying wrap up. I loved Ayla's character as she was tough, resilient, and didn't have much to be happy about, but wasn't jaded, and full of belligerent anger and attitude. I looovvveeeed how the relationship developed with the guys as well.

Ayla goes to a club one night and for a brief moment she saw who we later learn is Marcus, she later goes outside and sees the beginning of a drive by shooting. Ayla steps in front of the shooter who was aiming at Marcus and his friends thereby saving his life. 2 years later that night has devastating consequences as Ayla lost part of her limb from the three bullets, she's working in a bar trying to save money for college.....until an attempted mugging up ends her world once again. Now Marcus and the guys step out of the shadows into Ayla's life...... But these men are not living ordinary lives and getting involved with them puts her in grave danger I’m not writing this review to discourage anyone from reading this book because, let’s face it, if you’ve read the first two and don’t read the third.. you’re a monster. This review is honestly kind of me trying to sort out how/why I feel disappointed in the conclusion of this series. Also, maybe if I temper your expectations a little.. the book will turn out really great for you. I really liked this book. The RH factors that I love came more into play and the connection between Ayla and her men just continued to develop. I was also super invested and on the edge of my seat the entire time because I was so scared something was going to happen to my babies! The author does a really good job of making it where you don’t know what’s gonna happen next.i liked! marcus was the main character here and we didn't have any groupal scene (i was expecting, i confess).......... i can say marcus is hot. that's it. I just finished reading Rejected Mates by Callie Rose. This fantastic, hot story about a female wolf shifter who is just out to have fun when she meets her mate was one of my favorites. She wakes up to discover that her partner has left her after the most amazing life of her life. Six months later, she learns that the face has not only one but three partners. However, the witch also speaks of destruction and tragedy. She leaves her group and sets out on a journey to find and kill her friends. She finds them there years later. A good read. -Ryn I skimmed further and Marcus is still alive but I can’t read anymore to find when and how this story ends. I will skim the end to just see what happens, but honestly I just don't care about these characters anymore. For having romance in this RH, I felt no romantic connection with Ayla with the other two guys besides Marcus, since she rarely hung out with the other two guys.

Ayla was raised in the foster care system and was raped by her foster father at the age of 15. This isn't really discussed in detail, but we know she tried to take her own life after that. Also, she may or may not have a younger brother. Ayla was 17 when she lost part of her right arm when she jumps in front of bullets meant for a stranger (at the time) named Marcus. I also REALLY hated the way she handled meeting a certain character in this book. I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, but her level of “stand-offishness” honestly made me angry. I’m not saying she should have blindly trusted this person, because that would have been unrealistic for her character, but some sort of human emotion would have been nice. It was almost like the more she came to terms with this character the more indifferent she acted. She just glazed right over it when I feel like it should have contributed to her life, to the plot, in a larger manner. Ayla is with Marcus all of book one and kissed Theo to make him jealous and leave her alone. Didn’t work out but she ended up liking kissing Theo and Theo liked it too. I want to feel like I just can’t read the words fast enough and thinking about morning breath kills it for me 🤷🏻‍♀️.

This book was a lot steamier then the first. We finally get a few MMF,MMMF chapters…. Hot dam! Bring some swimmers its getting a bit wet in here! Once she graduated from college, she became more serious with her writing even though it would take several years before she decided to take a stab at publishing. She is now glad that she took the plunge since becoming an author changed her life as it has become more than a hobby. sweet obssession is not only romance. i liked the way the author wrote the plot of the book. we have a kinda of hunger games without the hunger part and more like rich people killing rich people and the winner will be richer. stupid things if you think about it but it was super crazy to read it. Callie Rose’s novel “The Lie” is an enjoyable novel that follows on from the events of the first novel of the “Kings of Linwood Academy” series of novels. Callie Rose’s third novel of the “Kings of Linwood Academy” series of novels “The Risk” is a fun read that wraps up the story that started in the debut as Iris’s murderer is uncovered. Harlow and her friends have worked hard and finally managed to expose the killer.

sweet obsession is the first book on a reverse harem trilogy that talks about a woman, ayla, who is shot trying to save some strange’s life. this strange? marcus, her new stalker. So again, I give this author props, because I kind of liked this whole plot. It was very twisted and dark. I mean, this is a book this isn’t real life. I like how the relationship continues to evolve with all the MCs. I’m not a prude by any means, you can’t be when you read reverse harem, but sometimes there’s just a time and place for sex and some of the times and some of the places made me roll my eyes. The second book does end with a cliffhanger, be warned! Hard to believe the next book will be the last. There's something rotten in Halston: there's a lot of twists and conflict going on in Sweet Retribution, and I can't wait to see if any of my predictions will come true or not. Umm, I seriously hope Marcus and Ayla aren't related. 😲 As in, hopefully Marcus doesn't turn out to be Ayla's missing brother. I mean, it seems unlikely, since Ayla's brother is supposedly younger than her, and Marcus is obviously older than her (and also the fact that Marcus's sister already died when she was just a young girl), but there's that certain passage (or two) that worries me and makes me think too much into it. LOL. I have never been more upset for a series to be finished, but also I’ve never been this happy. Every book in this series was pure perfection and the final one didn’t disappoint. i have read some stalker's plot books and i can say this one here is one of the best about this especific topic. usually the author introduces the stalking part and then the characters meet and everybody forgets the whole point of the plot.Natalie may be a bitch but she had her reasons for doing what she did. She's trying to survive by putting her own needs above anyone else's. Nothing like a little obsession to put some pep in a girls step (when it’s wanted of course). Then again it’s really the least she deserves after putting her life on the line for a handsome stranger. While struggling to get by heroine Ayla realizes that day two years ago still haunts her in the form of three dangerous men who just keep turning up. Ayla is very very brave though I would argue at times she’s a bit dumb too. She doesn’t think everything through but I think a lot of that has to do with her being unaware until the end what kind of world she’s now been dragged into. Ayla comes from foster homes. She's been used and abused, she's been beaten, she has struggled to make a life for herself. As usual, I’m obsessed with the guys Callie writes. She’s a go to author for me when it comes to RH because I know I’ll fall in love with her characters. Still, she also believes in the importance of having tribes who can help you on the journey. In her case, she found a lot of support from her writer friends who built her up when she was being torn down by vicious critics of her work.

Rose loves to read angsty books but when it comes to TV comedies are her bread and butter. She loves reading reverse harem novels which she discovered several years ago and has never stopped reading them.Ayla deserved to be handed a nice amount of money and be able to start a new life under the sun, far away from this toxic city, these toxic men, this toxic relationship she is starting, and this toxic need she has for Marcus Constantine, and the fear and pain he brings her. And the poor girl deserves a break. She makes me want to bang my head against a wall and I just want her to run far, far, far away from her stalkers. She saved Marcus Constantine's life but she didn't deserve his obsession, his love, and his darkness. She didn't deserve to be stalked for two years as a reward and she certainly didn't deserve to fall in love with her stalkers. o romance foi completamente deixado de lado para focar na parte do jogo/ da guerra que eu comentei na primeira review (aquela parte de jogos vorazes). agora a ayla faz parte da guerra, porque saiu querendo matar o povo lá. ô mulher burra. Loved this book from the beginning but unfortunately had to stop halfway through the series once it was clear there was no commitment. I enjoyed this one, Ayla is a strong and fierce h, moving forward with her life despite her physical disability
