Is the G2 just a bit too similar to its predecessor, the caliburn G? The design is similar, but it does have a slightly different, more sleek feel to it. The G2 takes on close attributes to the previous G Pod. It’s weight and size stay true to its ergonomic values (both weighing in around 36grams). The branding, LED light and fire button are all in the same place. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it right? Build Quality Across the board and with other reviewers, this is a pretty common theme. Everyone is singing the praises of the flavour production, and Uwell deserve this praise.

For me around the half closed setting was my preference which was around 2.5-3 on the airflow scale. Now, I usually despise snap-off mouthpieces—which is one of the reasons I never bought myself a Caliburn vape. I watched my best friend struggle with filling her original Caliburn one too many times. Still, the mouthpiece on the pod is incredibly easy to open for me (especially compared to the original Caliburn), though I’d say it may still be difficult for those who have impaired mobility or grip in their hands. Vibration alert = The device will vibrate when pod is inserted / removed, when the battery is low, when it is fully charged and for fault alerts.The mouthpiece also serves as the fill cap for the pod. It’s much more rounded than the mouthpiece on the original and while I think the original was comfortable to use, I like this mouthpiece even more. It follows the curves of my lips even better and just generally feels nicer. This performed well – I only noticed a slight drop in power when the LED was Red and the last few puffs before the device conked out. The firing button is larger than it was on the original and has a bronze accent ring around it. The bronze accent gives it a classy look that I’m a huge fan of. The button is tactile and responsive when pressed, but the Caliburn G also features draw-activated firing so you can just draw on the mouthpiece to vape.

I havent had any isssues with leaking, however my friend who also has one has had this occur, but he leaves his in the car and believes it could be down to the change in temperatures (leaks when it gets cold). The flavour ratio I use is quite high, which can sometimes be a coil killer, but I love a lot of flavour! A tiny Red coloured wheel takes care of airflow adjustment. Thankfully with it being Red you can see the airflow slot in the wheel increasing or decreasing as you rotate it so you can see the amount of airflow resistance to expect. Left = fully closed, Right = fully open If your chain vaping habit has to do with the fact that you are addicted to the hand-to-mouth habit of smoking/vaping, then this will be a tough habit to reduce (but you can do it).If you were put off by the loose MTL draw on the original Caliburn, the Caliburn G might just be what you’ve been waiting for.
