About this deal

When Estrella meets Caelum, she is not sure if she can trust him. Especially since most men have shown her, she can’t be trusted. But something in Caelum draws him. And when Caelum is the only one she can turn to, she is now forced to trust him with her own life. Estrella: “And that is the problem. I like my intestines in my stomach and not shoved into my lungs. You just keep that thing away from me,” Trigger Warnings: grooming, verbal and physical abuse (not the male lead), blood, assault of a minor, ritualistic sacrifice, suicidal thoughts, graphic violence & sexual content, cliffhanger I devoured this like it was the last drop of water in a vast wasteland desert of tumbleweed and sand

Do you love a good, steamy fantasy with steamy plot twists that will blow your mind? This book does not disappoint. It was an addictive roller coaster and I didn’t want it to end. Overall, it had great potential but unfortunately failed to deliver. Alas, if the author had developed more before publishing, it would have been a 5-star book for me without any doubt. The main issue is that other aspects of the book were not as solidly structured as they should have been to make a great story, which made it hard to get invested in the characters or the plot. Besides that, the extraneous, repetitive things that drag on and on for about 60% of the whole book caused me to skim through it. More so, "THE SEXUAL EXHIBITIONS AND THE PUBLIC SHOWING OFF" caught me totally off guard; I wasn't expecting to find these scenes. Frankly I'm never a fan of this kind of sexual stuff, so it was a downright unpleasant read for me. Their romance relationship had a good start, the attraction was there from the beginning, but given the situation, it didn't develop until a little later. The banter was great at times. Estrella is feisty and Caelum is very persistent. All he wants to do is protect her but she's very untrusting, so whenever he pushes, she pulls. But goodness does Caelum say a lot of great things. For example: "If this is what your hate feels like, then I can't wait to feel your love."I like my intestines in my stomach and not shoved into my lungs. You just keep that thing away from me." Then, we died on their swords. All of that changes the day the Veil shatters, unleashing the fae upon our world once again. The magic of faerie marks those of us they mean to take, but the Mist Guard protecting Nothrek will kill us all before they let the fae have us. There's no choice but to flee everything I've ever known, not if I want to live to see my twenty-first birthday as a free woman. Estrella is one of the Fae Marked, and is being hunted. She needs to survive, so has to, she’s been through too much to die like this. But then she meets Caelum, another Fae Marked. She can’t trust anyone, but without him she might not survive the winter. And with him, she might not survive her own heart or whatever it is that she sees lurking behind his eyes. Storyline is extremely predictable. There wasn't a single plot twist that surprised me. It felt like the author was spoon-feeding the reader to the point where it was obvious where the story was headed. I felt like I was being told more than I was being shown. However, it’s still an enjoyable ride.

Considering how Jennifer Armentrout's Blood And Ash series has been my absolute favorite these past few years I really, really, really loved this book! It's very reminiscent of BAA in terms of the similar setting and tropes. Though I will say that I saw the twist in this one coming from a mile away while with BAA it caught me completely by surprise.if you are looking for a new fantasy book where humans are at the mercy of the fae and a romance is influenced by a bond, then this is everything you will want! its predictable, but entertaining. which is exactly what i expected this to be. We have the fated mates trope, which is a common concept we encounter in fae books and I've grown to expect it in these books, and here the mates are marked.

I did, letting them drift closed. Ringing filled my ears, drowning out my mother’s hoarse cries and the sound of Brann trying to console her. My body filled with warmth, like the press of a warm hearth on a cold winter’s night, the stars shimmering outside the window as I cuddled up with a book. I’d never forget the look on his face, the absolute rage on my behalf. My family had loved me, but they’d never promised vengeance for me. No one had ever cared the way he did. That terrified me.” I touched my fingertips to one of the scars in the center of his spine, feeling his body still at my touch. “Who did this to you?” I asked, my voice sounding softer and more broken than I’d ever heard it.”What I enjoyed about the main character was that she had insecurities, she had been through trauma and abuse and the way she saw the world and her self was refreshing. It was realistic to see her get jealous and anxious, and wonder if SHE was good enough for Caelum. Rather than being super self absorbed. Thank you for joining project epicpdf.com one more step for saving everlasting masterpieces of great minds of all nations and times. The fae are free again and looking for the fae-marked. Every human has been warned about how vile and cruel creatures fae are. In the beginning I was so angry with what was happening and what this girl had to endure, but it only got more exciting after the Veil fell. The "Dance of the Seven Veils" is Salome's dance performed before Herod II. It is an elaboration on the biblical story of the execution of John the Baptist, which refers to Salome dancing before the king, but does not give the dance a name.
