With more innovative features constantly being added, I don’t think it will be long before these handy devices are a staple in every home, even if they run alongside a more traditional method of mowing. It’s quite an involved process, so be prepared to spend a couple of hours crawling around your garden on your knees. Those looking for neater edges will be better served by the Worx Landroid M500 Plus WR165E. This needs perimeter wire and a base station to be installed but its off-set blade is capable of cutting as close to the edge of the grass as a robot mower can safely be allowed. Its cutting schedule can be controlled by a smartphone app and it can manage a lawn of up to 500m2.The robot mower will cut in a random pattern for up to 4 hours* which covers lawns up to 100m2. The VBRM16 OcuMow™ is designed to mow once or twice a week during daylight hours in dry weather, cutting and dropping the grass clippings on the lawn as a natural fertiliser. While the LawnMaster VBRM16 is a pretty simple piece of equipment in the scheme of things, it does have a good number of features, especially when you consider the low price.
