About this deal

Nahri thrives in this final instalment. She is such a strong, smart and courageous female protagonist, you’d be hard-fixed to find anything to hate about her. Except for her teenage style crush on Dara early on but more on that later. She had insecurities earlier in the series regarding her shafit origins, her healing abilities and her role in a world she knew nothing about until very recently but like a Phoenix, she rises from the pile of ashes left in Manizeh’s wake and soars, shedding any of those insecurities and becoming the woman that she was born to be. After finishing 49 Days I looked for other dramas of Lee Yo Won because I was simply amazed by her performance there. When I was looking at this drama it seemed interesting so I gave it a try. Wow! It's another drama that I really liked. The characters and the dialogues were mind-blowing. Again like 49 Days, kudos to the writer. I think that he/she is another great writer. It’s difficult to succinctly summarize the story thus far for those who haven’t yet read the first two books in this series, The City of Brass and The Kingdom of Copper. Chakraborty’s world is rich and vividly imagined, featuring magical creatures, complex political factions, and a long and bloody history of conflict between the human world and the world of Djinn. Nahri and Ali reach Ghassan and Nahri cuts out his heart. They’re intercepted by Manizheh, who reveals that she is Nahri’s mother. Nahri was apparently taken from her by the marid as a baby. Manizheh tells Nahri she can’t handle the ring because she’s a shafit. Ghassan hits Ali, and tells him he is to remain in the hospital while Nahri has to remain in the palace. They’re not to see one another, and have to communicate through a messenger only. Golden Empire" takes over the SBS Monday & Tuesday 21:55 time slot previously occupied by " Jang Ok-Jung" and will be replaced by " The Suspicious Housekeeper" September 23, 2013.

Having narrowly escaped their murderous families and Daevabad’s deadly politics, Nahri and Ali, now safe in Cairo, face difficult choices of their own. Though Nahri is finding peace in the rhythms of her old home, she is haunted by the knowledge that the loved ones she left behind and the people who considered her a savior, are at the mercy of a new tyrant.

Empire of Gold - Season 1 - IMDb

The world building improved tremendously same goes for the writing, just like the previous books this is also written from the perspectives of three characters namely Nahri, Aliazyd and Dara. Dara's POV was depressing at first but it later improved. Grayscaled artwork of Ali and Nahri feasting in Cairo, drawn by April Damon. ( Colored version of artwork) Update 22/7/20. Removing half a star. With a bit of time to reflect, I definitely preferred the second book and can't justify giving this one the same rating The silence stretched. She wasn’t used to speaking to Satoru, anything beyond small talk between the two was strictly banned by the school, by their respective clans and probably by the entirety of the jujutsu society and the Magistrate. This had never stopped Satoru before, but when it came to Mikazuki, things had always been slightly different, if not completely divergent.TL;DR: A wonderful, moving ending to the Daevabad trilogy. Chakraborty knows how to work the emotions, and I absolutely recommend this trilogy to all! I just wish there was more of Muntadhir and Zaynab. Though I did really enjoy their scenes! Muntadhir’s sass was at a high in this one, and I loved it! But I wish he had at least one POV chapter because there was one chapter in particular where I really wanted to know what he was feeling and thinking. Under the leadership of Mansa Musa, 1312 - 1337, Mali became famous for its trade in gold and the kingdom became incredibly prosperous.
