About this deal
The top button fitting that sits above the actuation mechanism was not the same as my old unit (D1D) so I had to reuse the existing fitting, which was a simple job. It just unclips and slides off. Obviously the design of the push button fitting has changed over the years. It was a reasonably straight swap for the twenty year old existing unit and could be changed without disturbing the cistern. However, there are a couple of points worth mentioning: Hopefully this one will last another twenty years, despite the apparent flimsiness. It does seem expensive for what it is though.
