About this deal

Theo thinking he can do whatever he wants and declaring his love for Blake, causing HER to lose the internship she had WORKED SO HARD TO GET, even when she told him NOT TO DO IT.

The push and pull between them throughout the whole novel, gosh it kept me on my tippy toes, I was like no!

Blakely was such a strong character, speaking up for herself, going after what she wanted and not taking any shit from anyone, Theo included. Their relationship was far from perfection still i loved their bond, it was so strong since they both harbored their feelings from childhood . As with a number of other books out there, the great alpha-male (hockey great) potentially loses his long-time love interest (his best friend’s little sister) because of a bet… about who on the college hockey team can take her v-card. This is the second book in the series, it is a brother's best friends sister, enemy's to lovers romance. Theo had me smiling and ready to knock him in the face but then smiling right after with his crazy love declarations.

This brought kind of a fresh feel to the "im in love with my brother's best friend" Troupe and was dual POV. Don’t Let Me Go tells the story of Theo, the boy next door, and Blakely, his best friend's little sister, colliding with an inevitable attraction that was years in the making. Theo and Blakely have a history, a past that keeps on pulling them apart, until its miscommunication and some pretty dumb moves. She ends up in the same college as her brother and Theo and after seeing what he acts like she decides its time to move on with one of his hockey team mates. Ash, Colt, Theo, Blakely, Kate, Mia, Mack, and hopefully more Henry have a way about them that leaves a lasting impression and I can’t get enough. So we all know the saying 'Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover' but let's be real when we're looking at books the first thing to catch our eye is the cover; whelp the cover I saw didn't provide an idea that is was even a romance, never mind a romance that was going to have me so invested I forgot to eat lunch. Blake is strong-minded, spirited, innocent, and stubborn, whereas Theo is controlling, bossy, jealous, and overprotective of Blake. Once again she made me fall so in love with her characters, she took me through one of the best emotional roller coaster.

and then shes like, ‘why cant he tell me he loves me’ or ‘why cant he hold me’ theo is scared and he has anxiety bc he cant lose you and when you lose your shit in an instant doesnt make anything better. She never listened either and the hypocrisy of her going on about communication when she was constantly shutting Theo out. This book involved more immaturity and lack of communication between the main characters which always has me yelling at their stupidity 😂 but it ended in a very sweet and happy way that made up for it. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars cause I wanted more of their time as a couple, they fought with each other for like 90% of the story so it would have been better to see them a lil bit more as a lovey dovey couple yk, lmao Blake and Theo would have cringed given the entire time of their bantering. The first half of the book was really enjoyable, I loved the backwards and forwards and we saw glimpses of the Blakely from book 1. I read “Don’t Let Me Fall” and had my issues with it and honestly, this is the same book, but with worse character development and the same storyline.
