In the meantime, prep the tacos and salad. Toast the tortilla wraps in a dry frying pan for 1 minute on either side. Cut the lettuce, red cabbage, carrot and cucumber into thin strips. Place these vegetables, the sweetcorn and the coriander in individual bowls or on one large chopping board. While I really enjoyed this cookbook and found it to be quite useful, the title might be very misleading to some. The idea of “no-fuss” implies that there are few steps and fast results. These recipes aren’t the fussiest ones that I have come across, but they aren’t as straightforward as I was expecting. Having to toast coconut and slice a banana to decorate the top for a banana bread recipe adds a little more time to my schedule, for sure. Special thanks to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*** Having transformed the way we cook with books like 15 Minute Meals and 5 Ingredients, Jamie now turns his attention to the ever-popular one-pan method, applying the same principles of ease, accessibility, and convenience to this naturally fuss-free style of cooking. One presents simple, budget-friendly solutions to everyday cooking conundrums with over 100 recipes, all designed to be cooked in one pot, pan, or tray. To make things even more straightforward, each recipe involves no more than eight ingredients, meaning you’ll be able to whip up flavoursome meals without an exhaustingly long shopping list. Younger children may find this easier if you separate the items out on their plate and cut the tortillas into triangles.

It’s ok only made one meal so far from it. The time length for broiling time was way off from what the book stated. I reviewed all of the receipts in the book and was quite disappointed when I only found about 1 recipe per a section that I wanted to make. All of the recipes are pretty basic as far as ingredients and equipment needed go. I prefer a cookbook that gives me photos for each recipe as I like to see what the final product looks like. I eat with my eyes first. Upgrade basic crumpets to a more exciting breakfast! These are great to serve up to children who don’t usually eat eggs. The book should be titled “moderate fuss”. I got it because it seemed to promise easy family meals that were kid friendly. I don’t necessarily think that’s true. Recipes are fine as far as food goes. But if I have to make my own dressings, i certainly wouldn’t title it NO fuss. Recipes definitely require a moderate amount of fuss. This is that kond of cookbook. It makes you giggle, feel comforted and of course it has great recipes.

Make the sauce by mixing the yogurt, mayonnaise, tartar sauce and garlic powder together in a bowl. All the delicious flavours of a Caesar Salad bulked out with pasta for a filling, family-friendly lunch. The recipes in the book are easy to follow. I have tried several and had success with each one that I tried. The recipes are easy to follow and not overly difficult to make. What did I like? Gorgeous food pictures anyone? I’m happy to report a ton of these recipes follow a low salt diet. There is also a ton of side notes for those that like a variation in the meals offered. The recipe itself comes with a little side story and some personalization. I bookmarked a ton of recipes to try, including the ex boyfriends goulash. crumpets | 2 medium eggs | 100ml semi-skimmed milk | 1 tbsp honey | 1 tsp vanilla extract | 1 tbsp butter
