About this deal

Another time I gave into the hype! This was my first Morgan Elizabeth book and it was a good time. Legally Blonde holiday vibes, age gap romance with a heroine focused on revenge.

In their four years of dating, she never doubted that she would end up with his grandmother's engagement ring on her finger. Sure, she had to change a few things about herself to fit that mold, like dying her hair, dressing more conservatively, and finding golf enjoyable (honestly, the most difficult of the changes), but she was sure that at the end of it all, it would be worth it.gave me life with her inner monologue. I swear she’s so cute and her little character staples were adorable. I despised the way Richard influenced her so much but seeing her loving herself and learning how she should’ve been treated was the best. Revenge is a dish best served cold… I never understood why that’s the saying. Especially when everything about this revenge was hot, hot hot! Honestly, relatable 🤣 You don’t see hot, successful, tall, sexy, smart men in their 40s that often. I’d be drooling too ngl. Right off the bat, I knew I wasn’t going to be that big of a fan of Abbie’s. I really couldn’t stand her personality but at the same time I felt sorry for her because her ex really did a number on her. But idk something with her didn’t hit right.

i’m going to make a very bold claim but… tis the season for revenge is THE holiday romance of 2022. When the relationship starts to become something more than casual dating, and Abbie sees that the tough New York lawyer has a soft side, will she be able to follow through with her plan of deceit? Damien — he was actually amazing! His type of people are just the best ones! The ones who make you feel comfortable and confident, who don't judge you for being yourself, the ones who wouldn't make you feel insecure! His character was all good, and he was just fun to be around, if you can say, and umm he's also someone who would set their boundaries and respect others too! I loved how he made Abbie feel and listened to her. ✨ Colton agrees to consider Gretchen’s offer in exchange for three dates before Christmas. With the help of the Bromance Book Club, Colton throws himself into the task of proving to her there’s a spark between them. But Gretchen and Colton will both need to overcome the ghosts of Christmas past to build a future together. Why should you read this book?abbie gets broken up with by her boring and controlling boyfriend of 4 years on halloween but when her friends come over and they start drunkenly swiping on dating apps, abbie spots her ex’s boss that he always complained about and vows that getting with him would be the sweetest revenge. except, he turns out to be a perfect boyfriend ok I’m obsessed with damien. So she does what every girl does when she’s broken up with: she calls her friends, gets drunk, dyes her hair, and formulates her plan for revenge. It just so happens that the universe supports her efforts and gives her the perfect match to prove to her ex that he made a huge mistake: his boss. From #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Happened One Summer comes a romantic comedy about an accidental relationship between three smitten men...and one commitment phobic woman. I couldn’t stop reading, I needed to know what happens next. Every chapter keeps you on your toes. The ending was so well written. Exactly what they needed, these two are made for each other! Also, I know it’s been a while since I’ve taken high school Spanish but isn’t “rubia” Spanish for blonde? So my assumption is that it was meant to be used as a term of endearment like “blondie” but what was being used was the word that describes someone’s hair color…so idk that’s just what I substituted every time he called her “rubia”.

And the way Abbie would idolize Damien and him being a lawyer (Richard was also one) - Richard would blow her off for work to defend scumbags, but Damien? Damien only did so to take a pro bono case, he's a saint! And don't get me wrong, he was generally a good guy, but when she went all "you're helping keep the scales of justice balanced", I went full on LMAOOO because girl, he's a founding partner in an exclusive law firm, trust me, the last thing he does is helping the justice (no matter how many pro bono cases with victims of domestic violence he takes, sorry not sorry) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Every day you showed me what I was worth and that I deserved more than someone tolerating my presence. I deserved to be equal in a relationship instead of an assistant to some man. It took one date with you to see you were nothing like I had been told. It took one visit to Rollard’s to know you were a good man. It took one trip home to realize that you and I were something more.”

me gusto que no hubo un third act breakup!!!!!! hablaron y solucionaron las cosas al toque, LOVE THAT FOR MEEEEEEEEEThis is a book that I know if I think about it too seriously, I’ll see and recognize many red flags. However, I chose to ignore them all for the sake of the holiday spirit and all. It’s a book that is not meant to be taken seriously and I just think that there’s a charm in that. the plot was a blast & the side characters too. i’m gonna need the two bff’s to have books immediately. This is what you get for turning me into a desperate man. This is what you get for consuming my thoughts.” What brings you joy, Damien?” she asks, her voice low and soft. “Right now? It’s standing right in front of me." It was just ok for me. A story about a girl getting petty revenge on her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend seems right up my alley but I just couldn't vibe with this book. I did love Mr. Damien Martinez though, that man was ridiculously sexy and sweet. Naranja? So damn cute!
