The best book I've read on deliverance so far, mainly because of the extensive practical advice given. Questions and answers on healing and Demon Possession’. I was both surprised and very pleased that Lloyd Jones, a Reformed preacher, was not dismissive of these things. As a qualified Doctor, he ended up getting lots of cases referred to him which turned out to be demonic. Again, he is careful to distinguish between medical and demonic problems. Reply I wish I could say that I have experienced all the mighty miracles that He did when He was on earth, but I can’t. Just like you, I am a work in progress; growing stronger in the grace, knowledge and power of Jesus Christ, going from glory to glory. Wherever you are in your journey, be hopeful, not discouraged. He desires for us to know who we are in Him, His power that is there for the taking — never in condemnation, only out of love for us. Receive it, grow in it, be ready to have Him take you to places you never thought possible. No matter what, as I’ve learned with Him, the journey is all worth it. Would you trust self-appointed exorcists or healers to baptise you, to marry you ? With exorcism, they take advantage of the stress of the situation .

What would you do if you found pigs in your parlor? You would get rid of them shutting the doors where they entered your living room. This is your parlor, not theirs. This was amazing. I loved the teaching and scriptures. This is a great book for those looking to learn more about spiritual warfare, demons, and deliverance. The charts were so helpful. The experiences that Frank and Ida shared were so relatable. It broke down all of the fake belief systems and church cliches and gave me real doctrine and scripture to explain deliverance and poke holes in my assumptions. I believed deliverance was something you were forced into and somebody lays you out and demons come out but - NOT SO!!!! So much more goes into it and this book gave me the tools I need in 2019 and this was first written in 1970s like whaaa!?!?! PIGS IN THE PARLOR is one of the worst Christian books I have ever read. Hammond teaches that *everyone,* including every Christian, has at least one demon and should seek to be delivered from it (12). In the Gospels, though, no one who had a demon ever approached Jesus and requested deliverance. No one! Loved ones had to bring the demoniacs to Jesus because they had no control over their bodies. Frankly, this book terrified me as an impressionable young convert. I was convinced that my own fleshly appetites must be the result of demons inside of me. A practical point also made is that deliverance allows Christians to then be much freer to ‘move in the Spiritual gifts’ as referred to in 1 Corinthians 12. Part of the devils plan it seems is to make people A. suffer (and maybe die early) and B. be unable to work effectively with those Spiritual gifts or to feel the full joy of faith in Jesus if they’re Christians.

I learned so much about demons and deliverance and not to fear them. I learned about how to minister to different kinds of people, groupings of demons, ample scripture support, and deliverance tips, etc. Great read for anyone desiring to learn about demons and how to be delivered from them who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Son of God. The demons, known as Legion, cried out in fear and asked Jesus to send them into the herd of pigs, rather than to be run out of the area.
