About this deal

The JBL 305P Mark 2 used to be the go to affordable powered monitor but not anymore. These set a new benchmark, one that'll be very hard to get l beat. These perform better than those and look much much better. Each model in the T Series uses ADAM’s outstanding U-ART (Unique Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter) high-frequency drivers seen in their previous AX range, and feature an inbuilt DSP-controlled crossover and EQ, with multi-way rear analogue connections.

The T5V monitor delivers extremely high performance, producing 106dB SPL per pair. This is provided by the integrated new Class D amplifiers delivering 20W power to the tweeter, and 50W power to the woofer. Delivering excellent transient response and a high dynamic range, the studio monitor provides you with accurate audio. The monitor offers a wide frequency range, with a U-ART tweeter that provides you with a much wider sweet spot. This ensures you can hear the same frequencies when you move around your desk. The small footprint of the monitor ensures it can fit easily into any workspace. The T Series is ADAM Audio’s series of professional yet budget-friendly near-field monitor range that has the same high-quality sound that they’re known for. The T5V offers superb sound at an astonishingly low price. Its accurate, wideband delivery betters some designs at many times the price. It’s a brilliant product." (10/10) MusicTech The studio monitor designation might suggest that these are strictly for use in the studio but they’re far more versatile than that. The 179 x 297 x 298mm (WDH) dimensions aren’t teeny tiny – the cabinets are a little deeper than you might expect given the relatively dainty front profile – but the T5V remain compact enough for desktop use with a PC or laptop, narrow enough to squeeze onto a bookshelf, and don’t look out of place alongside a TV for home cinema duties.

Another is that i would much appreciate if there was a distinct position for 0db as the volume pot moves freely. One of the highlights of the T5V is its flat frequency response, a trait coveted by audiophiles and studio professionals. But ADAM Audio offers a cherry on top, with a tweakable frequency response curve that can be adjusted 2dbi up or down for high and low frequencies. This grants the listener the power to tailor the sound to their specific tastes or room acoustics.

Also the soundstage they provide is huge. It's very wide and every instrument is well positioned in the stereo field. The new U-ART tweeter, a breakthrough solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget, goes up to 25 kHz and is mated to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series monitors. With its 5” woofer the bass-frequency response of the T5V extends to 45 Hz. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working. This is why most A-class brands (like SVS, Bang & Olufsen, etc) often come up with room correction features, adjusted either manually or automatically. The EQ adapts itself to the placement (room, corner, center, etc) for a better (deeper and more accurate) sound. Which is great. Weighing in at only 5.7kg, the Adam T5Vs are equally well suited on the move. If you frequent multiple studio locations or travel aboard, there's no reason why you can't use these as part of a mobile production setup without compromising clarity and quality. Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and an outstanding cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video and broadcast production too. Sub Ready ADAM Audio has been a reputable name in the realm of studio monitor speakers, and the T5V stands as a testament to that. The T5V’s cabinet houses a 5in woofer alongside Adam Audio’s unusual-looking U-ART 1.9in ribbon tweeter, and there are dedicated internal Class-D amplifiers for each driver, with 20W driving the tweeter and 50W for the woofer. Each speaker is powered by a single IEC kettle lead.

I substituted the JBL 305P Mark II. Again, no contest. The 305p had far less bass and could not play nearly as loud. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Simply solid. You tap on it anywhere once and you know Adam was serious about this, as they always are. Having previously owned the Emotiva Airmotiv 4, I couldn't help but draw comparisons. The T5Vs certainly have a more wholesome sound, but they lose a touch of the 'sparkle' that made the Emotiva's stand out. It's akin to having a hearty meal but missing that sprinkle of seasoning that adds an extra zing. Powered with a 50 W Class D amplifier for the woofer and a 20 W Class D amplifier for the U-ART tweeter, the T5V produces SPLs of up to 106 dB per pair. Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and an outstanding cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video and broadcast production.Temperature was 58 degrees F (yes, it is getting cold here). Measurement location is at sea level so you compute the pressure.

These look incredible for the price. The tweeter adds contrast to the overall look, there are no visible screws in the front, the angled edges add curves to the design, without which this would have looked like a plain old boxy speaker.Crucially, though, sound quality is top-notch, regardless of what calibre of device you connect them to. These are superb-sounding speakers that rival options at several times the asking price. The monitor offers a wide frequency range, with a U-ART tweeter that provides you with a much wider sweet spot. This ensures you can hear the same frequencies when you move around your desk. The small footprint of the monitor ensures it can fit easily into any workspace. Fine tune your sound with onboard controls Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and an outstanding cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video and broadcast production.
