About this deal

At 10kg the Henry XL Plus weighs a lot but is worth considering if the features are appealing to you and you are confident you can deal with the 10kg weight you take into account the weight of the dirt and dust as you collect it. The Henry Eco is designed with a focus to reduce energy consumption and benefit the environment. It uses 30% less energy than the standard Henry model. This is achieved through the use of a 420W motor rather than the standard 620W used across most of the other Henry range. The HVR200-11 uses 620W of power, making it one of the more energy efficient models on the market. The motor also provides excellent suction and is highly durable, while the large 9 litre capacity means you won’t need to empty it often. Other features include TriTex filters, HepaFlo bags and a cord-rewind system. Accessories on vacuum cleaners can often be overlooked but in reality they can be some of the most effective parts to your cleaning arsenal. Both Henry and Shark models are very well equipped with the key types of tools you need to get most jobs done. The Henry vacuum cleaner range covers a number of price points. The more expensive models, like the George, do more things than the models that don’t cost as much. Adversely, the cheapest Henry Vacuum is likely to be the original version. You would think that you paid less for less dustbin capacity (like what you get with the James, where you sacrifice dustbin space for storage) but this isn’t the case. What is a Class Rating?

If you’re vacuum cleaner can’t handle hard floors there’s little point in getting it. This fortunately is never something you have to worry about with either Henry or Shark vacuums are they’re perfectly equipped for hard floors. Probably best known for this appearance – something which has helped to make this vacuum cleaner something of a celebrity and household name – it shouldn’t be forgotten that he is also a very capable vacuum. Whilst the look and feel has remained pretty similar over the years, a number of tweaks have been made to improve his performance, ensuring that this vacuum continues to be the go to choice for many homes and workplaces. When it comes to power and suction Henry hoover is as impressive as you are likely to encounter. In our experience, Henry never struggles with suction power whether on carpets or hard floors. In fact sometimes the biggest issue with the Henry HVR160-11 is that it can be too powerful, especially on carpets. Two of the wand parts are straight, but the third has an offset curve and can be attached with the curve towards or away from the Henry body, effectively adjusting the hand-to-floor drop to cater for users of different heights. The wand fits the bundled nozzle, brush, crevice tool and floor tool, the latter of which has a foot-operated switch for carpeted or hard surfaces. Although traditionally red, Henry is also available in blue or green. The head of the family, Henry is certainly the most well known cleaner from the range. First introduced in 1981, Henry’s smiling face has been helping people to clean their homes ever since. Traditionalists will tell you this is the best Henry you can get, and if you’re looking for a reliable and affordable vacuum it’s hard to argue with this view. There’s actually two main models of this Henry, the Henry Hoover 160-11 and the Henry Hoover 200-11. The main difference between the two is the 160-11 has a bag capacity of six litres, whilst the 200-11 has a larger capacity at 9 litres.

The standard Henry and Hetty vacuums are great machines that will get almost any vacuum job done with little fuss, but there’s now lots of other options, some of which may be more appealing depending on what you need. The good news is that the lower suction is partly counteracted by the EcoBrush tool – at least for smaller cleaning jobs. This is a small tool with a brush for agitating hairs and dirt from carpets, which improves cleaning performance. It’s not suitable for cleaning large areas though. If we were in the construction business, we could see the appeal of having Charles around for those messy post-build clean up jobs. The Numatic Henry XL Plus is definitely worth considering for DIY or home renovation projects. It’s big enough to handle the dust and debris that many smaller vacs can’t, plus it comes with a range of tools and accessories. We think it provides value for money for a specific purpose – heavy-duty cleaning. The huge and sturdy design makes it a much better option for DIY jobs, large areas, or light commercial use. If you need something for everyday cleaning, then you’re better off with one of the smaller Henry models. Comparison With Other Vacuums Henry Hoover vs Henry Hoover XL Plus – What’s the Difference?Aside from the cordless design, it has a 6 litre capacity (which is huge for a cordless), power boost mode, and HepaFlo bags. Like other Henry models, it comes with several tools, such as a crevice nozzle and dusting brush. The bagged design also means it could be a good choice for those with allergies. Thus if you are an allergy sufferer or someone in your home is, then the Henry Allergy represents a great way to get a vacuum at the same weight as the original Henry but with specific benefits around allergen control. The Henry Allergy offers the same 6 litre capacity as the Henry HVR160 and is also the exact same size. There’s always a frugal member of the family and James is it. Bright blue in colour he’s efficient to run and offers a different approach to storage and attachments.
