About this deal

Fully Taped Seams - All flysheet and groundsheet seams are factory taped - Provides watertight seal The whole structure is ready to go and the design is clever. There is a reasonable head height for a small, lightweight tent and while it would be a squeeze for two people, the tent layout just about allows for that. Vango F10 Krypton UL 2 Tent. New for 2021, the Vango F10 Krypton UL 2 is a 2-man tent and is an exciting addition to the Force Ten Expedition range, made for extreme adventures and expeditions and suitable for the harshest conditions. The Krypton sits alongside our XPD and MTN tents and is the pinnacle of our range. The Krypton is pitched inner first and is made of a Geodesic construction, reinforcing its strength and allowing for a free-standing structure. Made with a lighter Protex 15.SRN flysheet and high quality, light Yunan Eco Alloy Poles, providing excellent strength in high winds and benefitting from taped seams for a watertight seal. There is plenty of room to sit up inside and the peak of the tent is offset to one side for easier movement and to give a streamlined, wind shielding shape. The Krypton has all you need for those planned wild adventures for wherever you go. Ripstop Nylon 6 Groundsheet - 70 Denier Nylon Fabric is a great balance between low weight and high durability, waterproof to 6,000mm HH

Ripstop Nylon 6 Groundsheet - 70 denier Nylon Fabric is a great balance between low weight and high durability, waterproof to 6,000mm HH It blends nicely into the natural environment with its earthy green outer Protex Flysheet fabric. The inner tent has a tough 70D Ripstop groundsheet with an impressive 6000mm HH, coupled with a part-mesh inner providing good ventilation where it is needed. There is always a compromise when it comes to space and weight for wild camping or mountain marathon tents, so you can’t expect lots of space. However, there is a decent head height (sat down) and width. Pitch in a spot that gets a natural breeze: Sheltered areas are more prone to generating condensation. Pitch your tent so that vents are lined up with the prevailing winds.

A nice touch also worth mentioning is the alpine green colouring, which adheres to the wild camping code when it comes to blending in with the surroundings. Features Never cook inside: Primarily for safety but cooking also releases large amounts of moisture into the air. Remember that extractor fan in the kitchen at home? Store wet stuff outside: Towels, boots, waterproofs, swimming trunks, sweaty friends… keep that soggy, wet stuff out of the tent. Use an awning, tarp or hub to provide storage for wet kit. Geodesic Construction - Geodesic tents provide an extremely strong, free-standing structure with 5 crossover points, providing all season stability Increased usable interior space without increasing weight using single-pole DAC Angle SF Hub, plus more usable volume added to the vestibule with vertical door construction

There are plenty of great design features, such as the main and secondary doors, which are essential if two people are snugly squeezed into the tent. The Fly Creek has received a significant update with new environmentally friendly fabrics, larger internal space, wider opening for easier access along with a range of smaller tweaks and upgrades. A great tent made better! Ventilate your tent!: The most effective way to prevent condensation is to ventilate your tent and reduce the internal humidity of your tent by promoting a good airflow. Examine your tent for low and high venting options and open them to let the moist air flow out. If the weather conditions permit, leave the upper and lower sections of the door open, mesh sections can be kept fully zipped. If appropriate, also ensure vents at the rear of the tent are fully open. Make sure the vents are not obstructed by bags or sleeping bodies.

Ripstop Nylon 6 Groundsheet - 70 denier nylon fabric is a great balance between low weight and high durability, waterproof to 6,000mm HH Includes NEW lighter, yet stronger Dirt Dagger UL Tent Stakes with patent pending I-Beam aluminum construction Turn heaters off: Further warming the air inside the tent will increase water vapour in the air as warm air can support more moisture (our techy guys talk about dew points and percentage humidity), plus the warmer the tent is the more moisture will be released into the tent through evaporation and perspiration. Instead of heating the tent, warm yourself up with the right clothing and good sleeping bags. NEW expanded headroom and larger front entry with updated high-volume architecture and steeper walls

Yunan Eco Alloy Poles - Extremely high quality poles made with acid free processing by Yunan. These poles provide excellent strength in high winds as well as being very light Big Agnes' Fly Creek HV UL2 Solution Dye Tent has had a serious overhaul. A key feature being rolled out across a number of Big Agnes tents is the use of solution dyed fabrics. This is a great move for a number of reasons, firstly the positive environmental impacts which see a significant reduction in both energy and water consumption during manufacture. Secondly, this process means the tents are much more resistant to colour fade from UV. On a practical level, the tent benefits from a slight change in the pole design which now provides steeper walls, more headroom and a wider door opening which all make this version feel much more spacious and more usable. Tents designed with good ventilation and an inner tent will fair best. In certain weather conditions, the design of any tent can be overwhelmed by moisture. For example, if it is a cold night and there is no breeze to circulate the warm, moist air out of the tent, condensation is likely to form. Don’t pitch too close to water: Rivers and lakes can increase humidity. Pitching your tent, a little further away from water sources can help reduce condensation. All in all, this is a well thought out functional tent, as you’d expect from a tent company with Vango’s pedigree.Pitching is easy, and the inner and outer go up simultaneously. Once the poles are in, it's just a case of pegging out the tent. There are also five guylines, so it's a tent that will withstand severe weather. The tent has good airflow; the fly sheet door has a "hood" over the top, so the door can be opened without being exposed to the elements; this help promotes good circulation. However, it should be noted this tent is designed to protect from bad weather rather than ventilation. Condensation can be made worse when the air outside the tent is significantly cooler than inside, especially after a warm, humid day. On days where there is a substantial temperature drop, it can be challenging to prevent tent condensation forming. I think I am more likely to use this tent for solo trips. That way I can sleep more comfortably and have my kit inside the tent with me. Did you know that 1 person can produce up to 1 pint of condensation per night? So, let’s say you have 5 people in a tent, that is potentially 5 pints of water inside your tent! Other likely sources of moisture are wet shoes, clothes, dogs, cooking, even the air itself! Warm air can hold more moisture than cold air, as the temperature falls at night the more moisture is released into the air. Fact, even without occupants, the air in a six-man tent holds approximately 1 pint of water!
