About this deal

Our testers liked using the Pro+ function, as it didn’t overheat the hair but was still effective at styling. It left hair shinier and feeling “silky smooth”, with all of the panel agreeing that their hair looked healthier after using the straighteners. The variable temperature functions made it suitable for those with different hair types and our testers were happy with the heat-up time. The styler was lightweight and most agreed that one swipe was enough to produce satisfactory results. Key Specifications I’m a bit of a control freak, so although it’s the key selling point of the styler, I personally didn’t love relinquishing control of the heat settings in the adaptive mode. As I do use heat regularly, I want to keep split ends to a minimum so tend to use my straighteners on a hotter setting after washing, and then on a cooler one for touch-ups in between.

Remington PROluxe You Adaptive Hair Straighteners Remington PROluxe You Adaptive Hair Straighteners

The Remington S1400 Ceramic straightener features ceramic coated plates that heat up to a maximum temperature of 210ºC it only 30 seconds, meaning you don’t have to wait around to straighten your hair! The straighteners also boast worldwide voltage so there’s no need to skip on your style routine wherever you are in the world, plus the 1.8 metre swivel cord gives you easy maneuverability. The cord is 2.5 metres long and has a 360°C spin feature, meaning that the cord doesn’t get tangled up in the straightener as you go. This makes using it extremely easy and makes for a perfect hair curling tool. Accessory-wise, this straightener come with a transparent, square heating mat (great if you don’t have fluff on your floor) and a travel bag, so portability isn’t a question.

We were a little dismayed to find ourselves going over sections multiple times, as this might counter any protective benefits from the aforementioned features, but the GHD finish was still as glossy as you’d hope for the price. The straightener heats up in exactly 15 seconds and automatically switches off after 30 minutes, just in case you forget. So, what's the verdict of my Remington Proluxe You Adaptive Straightener review? If you’re looking for a smart straightener that knows how to give you smooth, sleek hair fast, then this is worth every single penny. It glides through their hair easily with no snagging, and the results are long-lasting. You will need to be a little patient though, as it does take a few uses for the straighteners to fully adapt to your hair’s needs. The use of steam opens the hair follicle. This lets moisture in while straightening or curling and makes steam straighteners typically less harsh and drying, particularly on curly or more delicate hair types. Our models were impressed with how glossy and defined their hair looked after using the Revamp Progloss Steamcare and after a fortnight of use, many said their hair felt softer and seemed to be in better condition overall. There was also a noticeable improvement in how long fresh colour lasted on hair when using these straighteners.

As you can get quite a lot of hair between the plates at once, it took around 15 minutes to fully straighten my shoulder-length hair in four sections. I was impressed with the results: shiny hair that felt soft and silky with just a small amount of static. I’ve had this kind of result from straighteners before, only to find that I have fluffy and frizzy hair come lunchtime, but these really did go the distance, and my hair was just as satisfyingly sleek by evening. By working with a variety of trusted Range Plus Partners, we’re able to offer our customers a wider selection of products.

While not as techy as other straighteners, the PROLuxe is glamorously good and delivers perfect results instantly – one swipe of each section and you’re finished. It comes with a heat resistant guard similar to the GHDs which, again, might be better as a heat mat. Still, despite only doing the basics, these are definitely the best value for money straighteners you can buy right now. This hair straightener has a function that sets the temperature to 185C, which the brand says helps create healthy and shiny hair minus the guilt from daily styling. It's designed to target heat where the hair needs it most and Remington says the results should last up to 24 hours, too. The hot plates are ceramic-coated and “ultra-smooth” to avoid snagging and are supposed to deliver 5x smoother results than your standard ceramic straighteners. It also has nine heat settings, going up to 230C. Remington’s Proluxe You Adapt Straighteners heat up in an impressive 15 seconds, and I started on the curliest parts of my hair in the StyleAdapt1 mode. The first time I used them, it took two slow passes through each section of hair to properly smooth and straighten, but by the second use, it only took one go. It felt much hotter from the second go too, and I can only assume this is because the straightener had learned that it needed to bring out the big guns to whip my hair into shape. The smooth, elegant and tapered design – which is in stark contrast to the large bulk of the Dyson Corrale – has been engineered to be both compact, and easy to use. The end where you hold the straighteners is wide enough to fit comfortably in the palm of a hand; giving it enough surface area to grip, while the plates are only 5mm narrower than those seen on the regular GHD Platinum Plus. Despite the Unplugged being significantly smaller overall.

Remington Ceramic 210 Travel Straightener | Mashco

Hair Straighteners by Remington are professional styling tools designed to create sleek, straight hair. These straighteners feature ceramic plates that evenly distribute heat and negative ions to reduce frizz and static. The temperature can be adjusted to suit different hair types and textures, and the plates are designed to glide smoothly through the hair without snagging or pulling. With their ergonomic design and easy-to-use controls, Remington Hair Straighteners help you achieve salon-quality results at home. This Remington comes with a chic travel bag but no heat pad. That's a shame since the straighteners are hot to the touch after a few minutes of use. Other than that, though, no complaints.FindThisBest (UK) aims to create a platform to help you make better shopping decisions with less time and energy. Remington Style 210 Degree Ceramic Straightener - The Range

Pros: Compact yet powerful; cord-free design allows for more freedom of movement; making creating complex hair styles easier; USB-C chargerIt takes the concept of the original Babyliss models and gives it a modern twist. Floating ceramic plates infused with keratin, argan and coconut oils, as well as ionic technology, help create a glossy, smooth finish. It uses so-called “intelligent heat control” to regulate the temperature across these plates and reduce hair damage. You can then choose from one of six temperatures (150ºC, 170ºC, 190ºC, 210ºC, 220ºC and 230ºC) and from one of three modes ( No Steam, Low Steam and High Steam). The straighteners will then automatically switch off after an hour. This is not necessarily a performance metric, but a big plus for anxious types like me is that these stylers automatically turn off after 60 minutes of not being used for extra peace of mind. What’s not so good about them? With the straightener comes a heat resistant plate guard that fits over the top of the tool. White quite handy, the heat does seep through leaving the guard hot to the touch, and a mat might be preferable while styling.
