About this deal

To do a thorough home waxoyling will take a full day just spraying/painting and another 2 half days stripping out panels/carpets etc and reassembling. I assume you want cavity wax injecting into the panels, sills, etc, as well as Waxoyl underseal on the underside and in wheel arches? This is the sort of thing the specialists will do for you. You can watch 'em work, take photos, etc, but you don't have to get yourself dirty. :) This is easy to do and costs next to nothing. The oil doesn't solidify so its self repairing, and highly penetrative. After looking it would seem a combinaton of dinitrol 3125 followed by a protective coat of 4941 is the way to go. Any one here tried them?.

Extended spray - Should be used when the standard nozzle just won't reach and when you need to spray a panel that's above you. Can also be used to spray around corners and over parts like exhausts and axles. So, this Dinatol. Tell me more?Another one for Dintrol . .. They use it in aircraft to protect areas of the fuselage that could suffer corosion. It's like a wax, comes in tubes that you need to heat in hot water ideally and then smear on sort of.

Also i have no idea where to start, im not expecting any thing bad under there but i want to do a good job.

I'm sure lots of you guys have done this job at some time in the past & I want to know from experience what is the best & most economical method of application. We could all meet at my garage, have a few beers and take in turns to slid under the Moggie to pump some more Waxoyl in.

If it rains, make sure you don't have wet carpets from drip/leaks from the hood, otherwise you can find the rear floor rotting from the inside.

I've researched an absolute ton of rustproofing products, including Waxoyl and Dinitrol. There's also one called POR-15. Most specialists seem to use Waxoyl. Everyone recommends different products based on what has worked for them, so its really hard to decide on which is best.

So why am I sharing this, well just to advise caution if you think that a chassis is in good condition because it has been waxoyled, in my case this was definitely not so… all it served to do was mask the rust gremlins that are our very worst enemy.Applying this stuff is a Summer job. Get the car clean underneath and apply during a dry spell with the car in the sun and when everything warm - including the fluid. I've got away with it...."all done"...I've got away with it...."think I'll have a beer"...I've got away with it....I've got away with it...."Would you like a glass of wine ?"....I've got away with it....yippee....I've got away with it....and More recently, I've used motor oil, thinned with diesel or kerosene to the point where it can be sprayed with one of those cheapo trigger-action hand sprayers, though a proper cavity sprayer would probably be better. I’ve decided to use POR15, based on lots of advice on here. I bought some last year before I had the gunge put on, but didn’t use it, seemed too much like hard work. So I’m writing this whilst having a cup of coffee, after having used it today. I followed the instructions to the letter, POR Degreaser first, followed by Etch primer, and finally the first thin coat of POR 15… looks good so far and the next coat goes on in a couple of hours.
