The script was entertaining, but you can't say the stakes didn't feel downsized compared to those in previous movies. In the third film, Woody and the entire gang are almost burnt to death. That’s intense. Fan favorites Woody and Buzz return to our screens once again in Toy Story 4 but with very different roles. Woody is the same pull-string cowboy sheriff that Andy fell in love with years ago. But despite the fact that he’s found a new home with Bonnie and her toys, Woody is quietly struggling. For a toy who’s been with one kid year after year, change can be complicated. “It’s a whole new dynamic, which was really interesting to me. In the end, Woody decides to leave Bonnie behind and live out the rest of his life with Bo Peep. Forky, originally made to be a disposable utensil and not to be a toy, proceeds to break down in confusion following his introduction to the other toys at Bonnie's house, requiring them to restrain him from throwing himself out. Even so, on a road trip to a carnival, Forky manages to break away and launch himself out of the moving vehicle, insisting he was made for "soup, salad, maybe chili, and then the trash" before he does so. Woody pursues Forky, catching up to him and the two head to the carnival to meet up with the RV. As they walk, Woody tells Forky all about his life with Andy and how great it is to be a toy (and especially a favorite toy), finally persuading Forky to accept his new role in Bonnie's life. On March 19, 2019, Disney & Pixar released the official trailer for the film revealing more characters. After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior.
