About this deal

The path will be tough – like climbing a mountain. You’ll have to sit with your discomfort and be honest about your actions. Change is never easy but you can transform your negative patterns and reinvent yourself as the person you were meant to be.

Historically, mountains have served as a powerful metaphor for the formidable challenges we encounter, especially those that initially appear insurmountable. The book suggests the biggest mountain to our fulfillment and a life of pursuing true potential lies without ourselves. We are almost always our own worst enemies. If this was just a non-interactive demo to show the level of immersion that PSVR 2 games can achieve, then I’d still be very impressed. And yet once your boat capsizes and you’re able to explore the world on foot, Call of the Mountain finds new ways to impress. Get angry, determined, and allow yourself to develop tunnel vision with one thing and one thing only at the end: that you will not go on as you are

There is quite a bit of redundancy throughout this book which eventually becomes tautological, especially when there are generic quotations and ideas mentioned. The past is an intricate tapestry of experiences, memories, and emotions that shape our present and influence our future. While the past can be a source of valuable lessons and cherished moments, it can also become a burden when it holds us hostage, preventing us from moving forward, and limiting our personal growth. I’ve become well accustomed to these mechanical monsters from Horizon Forbidden West and Horizon Zero Dawn, but I’ve never appreciated their colossal scale until donning the VR headset. This makes these monsters all the more terrifying, while also allowing me to observe the incredible level of detail that has gone into their designs and animations. The Mountain Is You" is a profound exploration into the depths of self-sabotage and the pathways that lead to self-mastery. The title itself, evoking imagery of formidable challenges and personal peaks to overcome, sets the tone for the transformative journey the reader is about to undertake. The Mountain Is You" by Brianna Wiest is an incredibly powerful and transformative book that delves into the depths of self-sabotage and empowers readers to embark on a journey of self-mastery. This book is a treasure trove of wisdom, offering profound insights and practical guidance to overcome self-destructive patterns and embrace personal growth. Here's why I believe "The Mountain Is You" is a must-read: I won't recommend this book to people who go through self-sabotage tendencies. I believe that good old therapy works best and that there exists other self-help books that are way more scientifically approved. I recommend The Happiness Trap by Dr. Harris to change your perspective on life instead of this one. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a book, but I really loved reading this. I’ve read multiple books about changing thought patterns and this was the first one that gave me multiple “aha” moments in personal development. The audiobook of The Mountain Is You is consistently one of the best selling audiobooks on Audible and Apple Books. The audio verion was narrated by Stacey Glemboski, a former English teacher that is now a voiceover artist. Stacey Glemboski presents Wiest’s guidance with a heartfelt, spirited voice. The audiobook leaves you with an abundant motivation to transform your life. While the audiobook is not free, Brianna Wiest has various free audio programs on YouTube and her podcast. Here are a few of those no cost options: Here's Ian's video review of the PSVR2 hardware - look forward to a full written version in VR Corner this coming Sunday!

When a place such as Mountain opens, I can almost hear the grinding teeth of rival restaurateurs, because every new Tomos Parry restaurant creates a gasping hubbub that you cannot manufacture or pay for. Parry rarely appears on TV, he doesn’t have a string of cookbooks, neither does he go on tour, as James Martin does, and play Money For Nothing on an electric guitar between recipe demos (the fervour around Parry’s breakthrough restaurant, Brat in Shoreditch, would have allowed it, though). Instead, somewhere among the Basque-style turbot, the smoked potatoes and the wobbly cheesecake, diners and food critics alike developed a deep respect for Parry. It wasn’t hype, either: Brat is exemplary. Four years after opening, it is still the place to get a table, especially if you want to signal to your guest: “I know what I am doing.” This was our first big Himalaya high altitude trek and what a brilliant adventure and experience it turned out to be. We are so pleased we chose The Mountain Company as our operator. Inspiring Quotes: "The Mountain Is You" is adorned with insightful quotes that resonate deeply, motivating readers to highlight and return to them for daily inspiration.

When you get to the mains section you're really looking at things that are cooked on the grill, from a whole John Dory to a turbot head, a tangle of lamb chops or a Tamworth pork collar which we've heard is really great.
