About this deal

Insulting other members, calling people names, identity gatekeeping or anything else that falls under "being a jerk" is discouraged and repeated offences will result in a ban. We do not want anyone to be excluded from this community but we have a duty of care to our members, especially those who are most vulnerable. Don't even mention pedophilia, MAP, or any related subjects. There is no connection to the LGBT+ community, so it does not belong here. Posts will be removed and a ban may occur after warning. Related comments will be removed.

If you wish to make a post commenting on an article, either make a text post with your commentary in that along with your link, or make a post without editorialising the title, and then comment in the comments. No arguing with transgender people about their vulnerabilities, including anything related to sports, laws, etc. Q (Queer or Questioning): Though queer may be used by people as a specific identity, it is often considered an umbrella term for anyone who is non-cisgender or heterosexual. But it is also a slur. It should not be placed on all members of the community, and should only be used by cisgender and heterosexual individuals when referring to a person who explicitly identifies with it. Questioning refers to people who may be unsure of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.OECD. The LGBT challenge: How to better include sexual and gender minorities?. Society at a Glance 2019: OECD Social Indicators, OECD Publishing, Paris. 2019. doi:10.1787/c64c3d3f-en L (Lesbian): A lesbian is a woman/woman-aligned person who is attracted to only people of the same/similar gender. Edit: I love that most people actually understand the point I’m trying to make here but for the ones that don’t, I just want to say that I was that Christian who thought anything gay was bad and who was raised to believe the LGBT+ community was going to hell and I wanted to be an ‘ally’ too because I couldn’t be brave enough to come to terms with my own sexuality, but I could at least support the people who were. Asexual: Sometimes shorted to "ace," this term refers to someone who has little or no sexual attraction; they may, however, experience romantic attraction.

We are a majorly minor focused userbase and as such we will no longer allow location mentions/discussion in titles or in images (in the thread as well). We are not a meetup subreddit in any form and are not here to connect people physically just a place to post selfies and that's it, any more than that would be a danger to our userbase and we do not wish to encourage that behaviour and as such are strict on location discussion. No possibly identifying information either, even remotely.

Educate them. You know this person the best, so as much advice as we can give, it may not work for your particular loved one. Some people may be simply ignorant, and education can be enough to change their views. However, some people are unable to or unwilling to understand. Attempt to educate the person, but avoid pressing the issue, as that can make someone become more defensive. Sometimes, there is no way to convince someone to abandon transphobic views. How should I come out?

Maybe it’s the bare minimum but that was the best OP could do at the time. The level of hostility people put out was not needed or deserved.

Any adult living in England can choose to be referred to any English clinic, regardless of location:

This is a place for free expression and conversation and downvoting can stymie that discussion. If someone posts or comments something you don't like, post a comment explaining why, or scroll past it. If they break a rule, report it instead of just downvoting. T (Transgender): Transgender is a term that indicates that a person's gender identity is different from the gender associated with the sex they were assigned at birth. In a human rights context, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people face both common and distinct challenges. Intersex people (those born with atypical sex characteristics) suffer some of the same kinds of human rights violations as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, people. They also face institutional violence within healthcare systems, with lifelong consequences to their physical and psychological health. Read more about Intersex people and the human rights violations they face. Comics that do not need a punchline, such as comics based on personal experiences or comics about education or self discovery can only be posted on Me Monday or within 12 hours of it, UTC time - from 12 PM UTC Sunday to 12 PM UTC Tuesday. No. There are infinite trans narratives, and none of them are any less legitimate than others. Not everyone wants SRS. Not everyone wants a social transition. Not everyone wants HRT. None of these make someone not trans. I didn't have signs as a child, does that mean I'm not trans? You are welcome to describe what you observed in a text post for the purposes of venting or seeking help.
