About this deal
It can take between 10-30 minutes for a layer of technical paint to dry depending on the ambient humidity and temperature of your room.
Luckily, if it does become an issue I think it would be easy to apply a bit more snow where stuff has fallen off. The durability on the two earth versions as not that good, but I found no flaking on the Badland/Ironcrust. The Citadel Technical paints come in convenient and durable pots that are designed to prevent spillage and maintain the integrity of the paint. When applied to a miniature’s base or any other suitable surface, Agrellan Earth adds a distinct dimension of realism. Agrellan Earth: This paint cracks as it dries, which creates a cool effect of parched, cracked earth. The texture will have a hard time lifting a primer, so use that for the colour you want to show through the below (unless you want to look like a noob as I did). For example, mix your own glazes or water down paints without losing the pigment strength or turn new into old by adding dirt and rust to models. To apply Astrogranite or any other Citadel Technical Paint, I first prime my model’s base (or whatever surface I want to use this technical paint).
If you are just going to do a couple of bases they can be fine, but if you plan to base an army the same way you should keep away from the out of production paints. If you do the thin version you would have to use other materials in combination to make the base look good.
