About this deal

Nothing exciting happened in the story besides Cassie and Aiden’s romance, but I need more than just a romance plot to keep me interested. So I started skimming around 30% because both characters would drone on with internal dialogue about their attraction to the other or just describe the day. It was boring writing unless the MCs were interacting directly, so the story as a whole was underwhelming. THE TENSION. Seriously, for a good part of this book I felt like I was napping under a hydraulic press that had an edging kink. I absolutely lived for it. Jessica writes such good tension that felt so natural and carefully woven that it made me AGONIZE but in a DELICIOUS way.

A woman discovers the father of the child she is nannying may be her biggest (Only)Fan in this steamy contemporary romance by Lana Ferguson. Jude’s brain completely shutting down when his feelings for Indira overwhelm him in any way (see: “I don’t eat” lmao what a precious baby) I'll insert another [oh] for emphasis, because while Aiden is basically a golden retriever in human form, but looks can be deceived because the words that come out of this guy's tongue in bed are positively filthy.

The characters and side characters were wonderful and this book had some excellent banter that had me smiling and giggling the entire time. the secrets. Tell Me A Secret is just one of the cutest plot devices ever invented. No, I will not be taking arguments at this time. Cassie soon discovers that Aiden is not a stranger at all, but instead someone who is very familiar with her—or at least, her body. Given that he doesn’t remember her, Cassie is faced with what feels like an impossible situation. As their relationship heats to temperatures hotter than any kitchen Aiden has ever worked in, Cassie struggles with telling Aiden the truth, and the more terrifying possibility—losing the best chance at happiness she’s ever had.” —NetGalley What I Liked: When Cassie is laid off from the job she loves, she has to look for a new gig. The perfect one materializes when she sees an ad for a nanny and meets the charming father of her new would-be charge. Aiden is more than handsome, a busy chef at a Michelin starred restaurant who is grappling with the challenges of single fatherhood. Cassie is the best candidate he’s met, and she takes the job. It’s only after she’s moved in and started work that Cassie realizes Aiden used to watch her OnlyFans. Not only that, but their digital relationship was pretty intimate. When their relationship starts to steam up in real life, Cassie has to find a way not just to be honest, but to be brave.

This book is now my entire personality. It’s my wish on a shooting star (I JUST WANT A HOT DADDY CHEF OKAY??). It’s my white whale. In layman’s terms (a thing a character played by Steve Carell once said): It’s the perfect combination of sexy and cute. I would be lying if I said I didn't read this for the spice. Someone told me it was very spicy and I needed something with a little bit of heat. But you know when something becomes spicy just because you have thrown TOO MUCH pepper in and not because you used exotic spices? Yeah, that's basically this... There is quite a bit of smut but it's pretty much 80% just bland vanilla. Smart, fun, sexy, and sizzling with romantic tension, TheNanny is a mouthwateringly delicious take on second chances with a healthy dash of steam.I can’t wait for more from Lana Ferguson!”—Sara Desai, author of The Singles Table But Aiden Reid, executive chef and DILF extraordinaire, is far from the stuffy single dad Cassie was imagining. With those hands and eyes that scream sex, such close proximity feels dangerous. With no other option, she takes the job and moves in with him and his adorably tenacious daughter, Sophie. When Rosie put out on social media that this book had "Mummy 2000 vibes" I basically went feral for it. Reading it lived up to every single expectation and then some.
