About this deal

Murder at the Museum is a thoroughly enjoyable start to what I hope will be a long series featuring the eccentric detective and adults who remain clueless that a little girl with a false moustache and raincoat has a better success rate at solving crime than the local constabulary. Date/s you would be interested in booking for your tour. We are able to accommodate weekdays and weekends. I think this is going to be a great series - there's a lovely hook at the end for the next one - and I look forward to reading more. We’re thrilled to partner up with Walker Books again on this exciting new release, continuing our work to support museums of all sizes, all over the UK. This fun, free and easy-to-run activity will help museums to attract new and returning family visitors, and encourage them to explore and be playful at their local museum.”

The book is really good fun. It will keep children entertained and laughing the whole way through. Alongside the brilliant plot are some fabulous drawings too. It is an unbreakable law of the universe that brilliant detectives are always present when mysterious murders are committed.” Bonnie Montgomery loves solving crimes. She and her granddad have solved many together in the past (even if the police think of them more as troublesome elements), and manage to get people to talk more than they might as Bonnie becomes Montgomery Bonbon, a short but astute European detective with her own senior assistant.Bonnie Montgomery is on a trip to the Hornville Museum of Natural History and Suchlike with Grampa Banks when suddenly all the lights go out and a terrible scream is heard from the floor above. We are a charity dedicated to making museums open and welcoming to all children, young people and families. We support and champion family friendly organisations through wide-ranging initiatives, including the Family Friendly Museum Award and Takeover Day. We invite heritage organisations to sign up to our Manifesto, which sets out simple guidelines for making museums easy to reach for all ages. www.kidsinmuseums.org.uk Access for visitors who have a learning disability, dementia or are on the autistic spectrum includes:

Coffee house Caffè Nero has announced the 16-strong shortlist for the inaugural Nero Book Awards, recognising the outstanding books of the past 12... I adored Bonnie, or should I say The Great Detective Bonbon. The capers are great, and I enjoyed plunging into the nostalgia of watching Pirot when I was younger - the urge to don a bushy mustache, butcher an accent (I can't do any accent), and look for clues. Bonnie gets to do it all, and really well - assisting the bumbling police with the case of a missing museum piece and the murder of its guard. Dapo Adeola, Tracy Darnton, Joseph Coelho and Chitra Soundar are among the 19 authors and illustrators longlisted for the Inclusive Books for Child... The winners of the Diverse Book Awards 2023 have been announced, with one winner from each of the four categories announced: Picture book, Children... Their newest case: solving the mystery surrounding a highly suspicious death at the Hornville Museum. Together they'll interview some dodgy witnesses, scour the scene for clues and - above all - hope no one notices that Bonnie and Montgomery are never in the same room at the same time... About This Edition ISBN:I’m hugely fond of a young detective, solving crimes in an adult world and often overthrowing those in authority tasked to investigate. They’re so compelling and they really have you rooting for the main character and Bonnie was definitely one you could get behind. I loved the sound of her from the get go and was fully embroiled in her detective business. Identifies a single machine as safe to connect behind a shared IP so challenges do not have to be reissued. It's amusing, seeing a young girl dress and talk like a hardened country-confused detective. But readers will definitely enjoy following her lines of thought and puzzling over the clues she finds. There are of course red herrings, plot twists and a lot of wordplay and verbal jokes (I enjoyed seeing the name of a solicitor firm: Morecambe, Morecambe and Wise, which will probably go over the heads of most young readers). We are first introduced to Bonnie Montgomery when she visits the local museum with her Grampa Banks. Hornville's Museum of Natural History is no ordinary museum and Bonnie is super excited to visit the museum because of its bizarre collection. She loves outings with her Grampa during the summer holidays and this one is no exception. Whilst she is there, the lights go out and a loud scream can be heard. A murder has been committed. Bonnie then changes into her alter ego - Montgomery Bonbon, the famous detective.
