About this deal

Throughout this entire book, I've felt like I'm following my own story of accepting that sometimes I might need to ask for help. It feels like reading someone’s tumblr—which is fine for tumblr, but I expect more out of an actual published book. For anyone new to these feelings or new to the idea of seeking treatment I feel like this book could demistify therapy and alleviate some of that fear and shame of seeking help. Reach out to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline or the Crisis Text Line — or the Trans Lifeline, The Trevor Project Hotline, the Veterans Crisis Line, or any of these other mental health resources. I find I try to push thoughts aside by taking on too much to try to feel better about myself and often make jokes like wow I’m burning through novels super quick I should probably check on my mental health.

In fact, it’s inspiring to think about people being so passionate about helping you that they created organizations, technology, and protocols to make sure you can get the help you need. Everything Is A-OK is the fifth studio album by Australian alternative rock band Violent Soho, released on 3 April 2020 by I Oh You and Pure Noise Records. With this book, Debbie ventures into more personal territory, as it describes her struggles with anxiety and depression. Not that you can really control when depression might strike and it’s often like a Stephen King jump scare showing up on a sunny day in a crowded place. Anxiety and depression have been my constant companions most of my life, like permanent, unwelcome passengers in the metaphor car that is my life. It’s how she realized she had a problem, what she did to combat it, and her thoughts on self-care and self-love. I appreciate Tung making something beautiful and comforting out of a painful mental health journey, but I found that it came at the cost of making something that feels real. Because you aren’t alone and even when it seems impossible to go forward or that nobody cares, there are people who do care and you can get through it (also know there are many resources to help and people to provide aid and support), and sometimes half the struggle is just recognizing you need help.

I did find it less relatable when it came to therapist panels, as that's not my jam, and the hesitance of the one therapist to prescribe meds felt a little preachy. This quote has actually gone viral through the years, and it’s encouraging to think about the number of people who have committed to being who they needed when they were younger. For the very best results, we recommend that you submit your full sentence to our Quick Text editing service so a human editor can provide you with the right suggestions. While it’s heartbreaking to think about families needing to flee war, conflict, or persecution — it’s beautiful to see so many Helpers and nonprofits working hard to help refugees around the world. Everything Is OK delves into the author's experiences with being diagnosed with depression and anxiety, all the way from hitting rock bottom to where she is now, which is thankfully in a stable, healthier place. People are coming together through the Internet to raise money for world-changing organizations every single day. While this knowledge may not keep your friend from feeling anxious, it may allow them to put the problem in perspective.
