About this deal

If however as likely it switches 230 volt, then you can fit a system which can link to TRV's in the future allowing you to control each room independently. The terminals used will depend on the design of plumbing system that it is controlling. Yours is commensurate with very many in the UK. Some do have a connection to terminal 1 others, like yours don't need it. None, (with a few very rare exceptions, normally old installations) have a connection to terminal 2. The FP715 Si two-channel full programmer has separate Heating and Hot Water outputs operating on completely independent time bases for maximum flexibility. But the Hive is much simpler and cheaper, no option for Opentherm, and no cleaver algorithms, and the base stops taking a demand for heat after 22ºC so the base unit really designed to be in a room normally kept cool, like the hall.

Probably it would need connecting to the wiring centre, not to the controller as you have with the TP9000. So, from what I am gathering, I can buy pretty much buy any 2-channel CH/HW controller, but need to get a good sparky in to do the necessary wiring and installation. Can I confirm if you all agree that this is correct and a sensible approach? It seems to have been doing it more often recently so I figured I'd try moving it out of the airing cupboard incase it was the heat affecting it. I drilled a hole in the wall and mounted it in more or less the same place on the other side (so now in the landing). Additional features such as service interval timer, convenient user overrides, built-in ready-to-use programmes, a day programme copy facility as well as a stylish, compact design and easy to read display make the FP715 Si the simple answer to all heating and hot water requirements. An additional range of accessories allow the FP715 Si to be used in other upgrade situations where the unit being replaced is larger than the new unit and a decoration scar would normally have been left. I got it wrong, so trying to stop you making same mistake, I selected Energenie as was told they worked with Nest, but that is not the case. There is a guide here which also says Energenie works with Nest, seems they did until Google took them over. My advice: Find an electrician who enjoys heating controls and let him/her select the product that will do the job. Otherwise you’ll buy the wrong thing and waste your money.

Discovered during the night that the central heating was still on despite the programmer indicator light being off. Turned the thermostat right down but heating stayed on. Time for a new programmer. The Danfoss FP720 (replacing the FP715Si) two-channel full programmer has separate heating and hot water outputs operating on completely independent time bases for maximum flexibility. Furthermore, the FP715Si is equipped with temperature compensation technology. This means that it can automatically adapt to changes in room temperature, ensuring consistent and comfortable heating throughout the day. It seems the Drayton Wiser TRV head is about the best, with algorithms to work out how long it takes to heat a room without over shooting, and the base has the option to work with OpenTherm with an add on module. Since I use oil OpenTherm does not interest me.

the Motorised Valves (HPA2) or your Circulating pump - its not always the timers fault but your electrician will be able to diagnose the fault for you before you buy. Earth, neutral and live is fairly self-explanatory. Am I correct in thinking that the following applies? Although your likely not considering swapping all TRV heads to linked heads now, before selecting a replacement you need to consider what you may want to do in the future. The soap dispenser arrived on the date stated but was slightly defective. I phoned the local supplier and it was replaced the following working day. Excellent service. There is a 230 volt and 24 volt model it seems, this is the instructions. https://www.plumbase.co.uk/link/1/h002877_20563_t.pdf

I guess I will just plump for the 2 channel controller that I like best and hire a sparky to install it (I know my limitations). The FP715Si features a user-friendly interface and a clear digital display, making it simple to program and operate. With its intuitive navigation, users can easily set up specific heating schedules and temperature levels for different times of the day. The FP715 Si can be configured by the installer at time of installation to provide 7 day, 24 hour, or 5 day/2 day operation and to provide either 2 ON/OFF"s or 3 ON/OFF"s per day, allowing the time control to be tailored to match the specific requirement of the consumer. Relieved to see that this programmer is still available but thanks to coronavirus getting a tradesman to fit one could be a problem as we are in isolation due to age.

Danfoss FP715SI 7 Day 24 Hour Or 5/2 Day Programmer

I apologise that this has turned into a bit of an essay, but any expert help you could pass on to me would be greatly appreciated. HOWEVER. We can offer you an alternative model that WILL FIT the FP715SIwithout an Electrician and without paying through the NOSE. This is what this listing is Selling - please get in touch if you are unsure THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE USED MYTUB BUT IT CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE THE LAST. THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND THE VALUE WAS AMAZING, EVEN MY PLUMBER COULD NOT OBTAIN THE GOODS AT THE PRICE I PAID. At the point of installation, you can choose to have either a 7-day, 24 hour, or 5 day/2-day operation. You can then set 2 or 3 on/off points for each day, enabling you to make your central heating work to your schedule. Additionally, the programmer can be set for either ‘pumped’ or ‘gravity’ hot water. One of the key features of the FP715Si is its multiple switching options. This thermostat can control both the heating and hot water systems, providing convenience and flexibility. This allows users to manage their overall energy consumption effectively.

As it works with just one thing on at once in my case, is it possible to bridge the wires for the Central Heating so that it is in effect on all the time but could be left in the off position? Thanks for your considered responses. I have the manual but when I follow the instructions to reset the date and time, it just doesn't work! So, I have just come to the conclusion that updating it makes sense. The wallplate used follows the industry standard pattern, as used by many of the other time control manufacturers. This allows for direct replacement often without the need for re-wiring. So I'm not sure if the programmer is just duff, or if there is a certain combination of events which is causing the programmer to trip out. However you say "Turned the thermostat right down but heating stayed on." which does not seem to point to the programmer.
