About this deal

Prince Charming is still around and angry about how things played out in the second movie. He plots his revenge against Shrek and Fiona by enlisting the local villains such as Captain Hook and some menacing talking trees. The aspect of 'Shrek 2' that I find the most appealing is the switching of roles the filmmakers have done with storybook constants like Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. Here they are villains. What a nice change to the old stereotypical feelings we have about those characters. Audio Commentary by Director Mike Mitchell, Head of Story Walt Dohrn and Producers Gina Shay & Terese Cheng is a little on the crude side, especially by today's standards, so there's not a significant sense of visual might at work, but the 2160p resolution does

Shrek the Musical "Freak Flag" (HD, 4 min.) – Another scene from 'Shrek' the Musical, this time with Gingerbread Man showing his vocal talents. Included are five episodes: Hidden (23:04), Sphinx (23:04), Brothers (23:04), Dutchess (23:04), andMy expectations for a fourth 'Shrek' movie were scraping the bottom of the barrel. I didn't expect much at all, and I was happy to have my cellar-dwelling anticipation lifted sky-high after watching the last film. It's a perfect way to end the series. Audio Commentaries – There are two audio commentaries offered here. The first commentary is a discussion between both of the movie's directors, Kelly Asbury and Conrad Vernon. They talk a lot about the animation and how the technical advances in animation gave the film's subtleties a more realistic, life-like feel. Things like skin and eyes have been updated to bring more life to the characters. In 'Shrek' eyes were only able to be painted on and placed in heads. 'Shrek 2' used technology to make real working eyes that had lenses and irises. Pretty amazing the amount of technology that advanced the animation from the first to the second film. Secrets of 'Shrek the Third' (HD, 4 min.) – More views of voice actors acting in the sound room. They introduce all the knew voices from Hollywood stars like Ian McShane and Seth Rogen.

Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party (HD, 3 min.) – Just what the title says. It's a karaoke dance party with each of the characters performing different popular songs. UHD. No color is left rendered substantially darker. Even just casually watching the film on UHD this is apparent; it's not a case of really only noticing series 'Shrek' films to receive the UHD treatment. The new presentation includes 2160p/HDR video and DTS:X Master Audio. There are a number of Puss In Boots "These Boots Are Made For Walking" (SD, 2 min.) – Puss In Boots sings "These Boots Are Made For Walking." Clips of Antonio Banderas doing the voice work are spliced in.Shrek's Yule Log (HD) – One of those yule log things you can put on your TV and let it burn giving your living room a wonderful holiday feel. Arthur -- or "Artie," as he likes to be called -- isn't King material, either, and the very notion of being given the responsibility of ruling over all the Writers: Ted Elliott , Terry Rossio , Joe Stillman , Roger S.H. Schulman , William Steig , Cody Cameron The first and second films have been some of the most coveted movies that haven't yet hit Blu-ray. Right now there's no option to buy them as stand-alone titles. This set is the only place you'll find the first two films on Blu-ray, so they're brand new transfers. 'Shrek Forever After' came out this same week, so it's a new transfer too.
