About this deal

Let me tell you my villain origin story, something that this book series did not even bother to have. I want to classify this series as plastic Fantasy Romance. Yes, plastic Fantasy Romance. Though Lou and Reid's relationship issues did start to bother me after a while - even though it really did make sense and I get that they both have things to deal with - I just wanted them to be okay with each other. ((But maybe that's because I want them to be happy so badly.)) There were times I wanted to scream at them: COMMUNICATION IS KEYY GUYS Squires, John (13 March 2023). I won't say this book is frustrating (but it is); it seems like there is one frustrating thing after the other and they all keep giving me no breaks; While running from their enemies, and seeking allies: Lou and Reid are also running from the things that haunt them. Reid's new found power, the death of his patriarch, Lou almost being murdered by her own mother (again) — to name a few.

There were points were it felt like everything hadn’t quite broken Ansel yet. He wated to keep trying, to fight, train, with Coco. I think the fact that he still wants to try and protect others, that he still wants to be good, shows that the huntsme upbringing didn’t completely tear him down. He still had some spark of special left. The Moment I realised…Who Dies in Blood & Honey? If you’ve read the book then you’ll know at the end of Blood & Honey that Ansel dies. I had a feeling someone would die but I guess throughout the story it’s kind of hinted at that it will be Reid although with him being a narrator it didn’t make sense to kill him off. Ansel’s death is absolutely heartbreaking. On Beauregard Lyon Let’s talk about my favorite thing in any book: WORLDBUILDING. There are NEW CREATURES GUYS. I love them. They’re the best. I guess I can’t actually talk about this much without spoiling? But know there are some new worldbuildilng elements in G&M that really add to the magic of the story. Y también tenemos varias escenas spicy que my goodness HOT HOT HOT, raras en este género, pero una siempre lo agradece. Also, that epilogue killed me. It was so bittersweet and sad, yet so uplifting and hopeful. I almost started crying, partially because of the book and partially for other reasons, but still, it made me emotional.Aunque al principio me ha costado entrar en la historia ya que el segundo libro no termino de convencerme, tengo que decir que es que va cogiendo ritmo poco a poco. I’ve managed to survive 2021 without rating a book 1 star UNTIL NOW. So, thank you Shelby Mahurin for taking that away and ruining my year. There wasn’t anything that I enjoyed in this installment. And that’s saying something considering I had no expectation at all going into it. NONE, except that I was ready for the worst. Now, it’s verified. Not even the romance made me feel anything—because, CAN YOU EVEN TELL ME WHERE IT’S AT? I understand that characters needed to show some growth and the world building to expand, but why did the story have to be drawn out THIS much, THIS long. All it did was make me lose my care for everything altogether because I couldn’t find the things that made me fall in love with the first book; regardless that you finally get the ending you’ve been waiting for, and you find closure in this book. Ugh. I’m not disappointed. I’m unreservedly bitter. If there’s anything worse than Covid-19 in the last two years, it’s the last two books in this series. Yes, I said it. No further comment, but this: Serpent & Dove IS a standalone as far as I’m concerned. And may whoever responsible for turning this into a trilogy burn in hell! It’s been real, y’all. What’s more, the Milne estate should probably look upon this film with nothing but pride. True, they aren’t going to see any money out of it, but the simple fact that Winnie the Pooh has endured for this long – the character is now 95 years old – while remaining so indelible that he can still be an instantly recognisable cultural touchstone in a micro-budget exploitative horror movie is a triumph in itself. Deep down, anyone involved in the creative industries would be happy to learn that something they invented will be singled out for a classless gore-fest like this a century from now. I know I’d be thrilled. Harvey, Dennis (16 February 2023). " 'Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey' Review: An Un-Bear-Able Horror Cheapie". Variety. Archived from the original on 16 February 2023 . Retrieved 17 February 2023. Coco and Ansel are as always: my favourite munchkins. And I even started to like Beau more. To be honest I found his addition to the crew in Serpent and Dove to be somewhat random. But he's grown on me.
