The two "Yes" answers are my husband's referral for 1) an initial gallstone consultation, 2) cataracts (op) and 3) diabetic retinopathy laser treatment. The change in medication is a minor skin condition. We are not able to accept cancellation requests of annual multi-trip policies issued prior to 1 January 2020.
For several years we have taken the Red Pennant travel and vehicle insurance for our foreign travels. The annual cover expires in August but I needed to notify them of a change of vehicle before we whizz off to France in a couple of days. By the time I reached home at the end of February in 2020, Covid had arrived on the scene and I haven’t needed Red Pennant since.For much of the cover that Red Pennant offers, the cover is ‘total cost’. Most members will travel to or through France as part of a Continental holiday. A breakdown on a French motorway can easily exceed the limits of cover offered by many of our competitors. If you are travelling to these destinations, the Club cannot offer motoring assistance and you are advised to arrange and pay for your own assistance and submit a claim for consideration on your return home. You will need to keep all original invoices and receipts to support your claim. Club members and staff have worked together to create this new approach, and we’re all confident it will provide all members with more availability and an easier booking experience.
For holidays in the EU, a UK Motor Insurance Certificate is accepted as proof of insurance if you’re required to provide it. If you’re travelling outside the EU, you’ll need to ask your insurer to issue you with a Green Card as proof. If you’re issued with a Green Card, your insurer should include reference to anything you’re towing.There are various types of motorhome available, but the difference between a motorhome and a campervan is a bit of a grey area - and is often in the eye of the beholder. Purpose-built (often called 'coachbuilt') motorhomes are easily identfiable, as are campervans that are built on standard manufacturer chassis - but how do you classify a conversion? At what point might a campervan become a motorhome?
However in 2018 I experienced a medical problem which necessitated me being admitted to a Hospital in France for several days where I received various tests and treatment. On my discharge from Hospital my Wife told me that she had never felt so alone in her life thanks to Red Pennant.In fact dealing with Red Pennant was more stressful than the medical incident itself. I seem to remember on here that the Club a couple of years ago were considering a RP Light which seems to have come to nothing as yet. One problem might be is that the current RP is so highly regarded that any lesser service might lead to general dissatifaction The one reason I take RP is because of its comprehensive nature.
