About this deal

Put simply, re-pressurising your boiler means allowing more water to enter the system. And while other combi boilers use a filling loop to do this, some Worcester Bosch boilers use an internal filling key. You can do this via a drain-off valve. A drain-off valve can be on the boiler, a radiator valve or anywhere on the central heating pipework.

Open both of your filling valves using their handles (you may need to use a screwdriver) to allow cold water to flood your system We are proud of the quality of our refurbished parts and they come with 12 months replacement warranty. Your receipt will be the proof of warranty and please keep them somewhere safe. If the bag is dry after your Worcester boiler loses pressure you must have a leak on the central heating system which will need to be found and fixed. The loop valve will be on and allow water through it when it lines up with the hose of the filling loop. When it is in the off position and doesn’t allow water through it, it will be perpendicular to the filling loop, creating a kind of t-shape. You should never look inside your boiler, only a Gas Safe engineer should do this. Why would you need to repressurise a boiler?

How to repressurise a Vaillant boiler

The boiler pressure rises when the heating is on, so you will not get the proper reading until it has cooled down. Never look inside your boiler though – only a Gas Safe engineer should do this. And if you do or do not find a leak, book an engineer and we’ll be on hand to help. Unfortunately, some idiot at Worcester Bosch thought it would be a good idea to use a key to repressurise their boilers. Low pressure will mean that your water won’t run as effectively as it should, meaning that you will be paying your heating bills for a certain standard of running efficiency that you aren’t getting. High boiler pressure could end up damaging your boiler and its system as it won’t be used to the high pressure that it is currently running at. When installed by a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer with a Greenstar System Filter. The Greenstar 1000 and Greenstar 2000 guarantee is available as standard to both Excelerate members and non-WAI's, when fitted with any brand of system filter. Terms and conditions apply.

This can cause the pressure gauge to move around so you don’t get an accurate reading but it isn’t a big deal. How do I increase the pressure on my Worcester boiler? If you need to repressurise your Worcester boiler once or twice a year I wouldn’t worry about it as it’s such a small leak that it’s barely noticeable.
